2 days left to vote NO & defeat the #RepublicanRecall.

But, a few words about how California Republicans are fueling Trump’s Big Lie 2.0 in the Golden State.

California Democrats are fired up & ready to vote NO on the #RepublicanRecall.

We’ll take nothing for granted.

We’ll connect with voters until 8:00pm on Tuesday evening to ensure every voter has the opportunity to make their voice heard at the ballot box. 2/11

But, @CAGOP & their leading candidate, @LarryElder, seem to be smelling a possible defeat.

Instead of making their case to voters – a thin case at best & dangerous case at worst – they are questioning the integrity of the election system. 3/11

Both have recruited election observers, poll watchers & lawyers.

Both have created an online system to report suspected voter fraud.

Both have threatened legal challenges. 4/11

For years, @CA_DEM has hosted a voter hotline, trained poll observers & recruited lawyers.

But there’s a big difference.

@CA_DEM’s voter protection program centers on ensuring all registered voters – Dems, Reps or Indies – have full access to the vote in every election. 5/11

But, the “election integrity” efforts of California Republicans - @CAGOP, @LarryElder & others - is pulled straight from the pages of the Trump playbook – formerly an extreme conspiracy theory & now a mainstream campaign strategy.

A dangerous strategy that continues today. 6/11

Just a few recent examples of comments on California’s recall election…

Trump on Newsmax: “It’s probably rigged.”

Fox News host, @TomiLahren: “The only thing that will save Gavin Newsom is voter fraud.” 7/11

@LarryElder: “There might very well be shenanigans” in the recall election.

And when asked about accepting the results of the election, the @CAGOP Chair said “I can’t speculate to the future, but we are keeping an eye on everything.” 8/11

Fact: There’s no evidence of voter fraud.

California Democrats have fought hard to make it easier for eligible Californians to register to vote & make their voices heard at the ballot box.

And we’ll continue to do so. 9/11

But, we also know that misinformation, disinformation, & the questioning of the integrity of our election systems are not just a series of conspiracy theories of another time & place… they are a Republican-fueled campaign tactic here & now. 10/11

So, let’s not just beat the #RepublicanRecall.

Let’s beat the #RepublicanRecall decisively, resoundingly & definitively.
