#SupremeCourt to continue hearing plea filed by the mother of a 13 year old who was missing since July 8, 2021 alleging that despite filing an FIR with Gorakhpur Police and making efforts to file complaint with the Delhi Police, no action has been taken till date.
Earlier, the Delhi Police found the 13-year-old girl missing for the last 2 months in Kolkata and also arrested the kidnapper after the apex court directed the Uttar Pradesh Police to hand over the case files.
On the last date of hearing Supreme Court had directed the investigation to be transferred to the Delhi Police from the Uttar Pradesh Police.
Sr. Adv KV Vishwanathan- Milords it may be asked to clarify on the pregnancy of the Girl.
Bench- We'll ask for the report within 1 week, by then you interact with the Girl.
ASG RS Puri- This is a marriage between a Hindu and Muslim.
Bench- This doesn't matter if she is minor the marriage doesn't matter. That we'll address when we know her age.
Adv Amit Pai- Milords, according to her mother her age is 15 or 16 and according to her also her age is 17.
Court- there are two documents which are contrary, you tell me can we force pregnancy test when she is major?
Then let us first determine her age.
Pai- Milords, if she is given psychological evaluation and treatment all this can be done.
Court- We accept the suggestion made by the Amicus that it is essential to first ascertain the age, thereafter further direction can be issued.

We direct AIIMS to submit age determination report within one week.

Delhi High Court denies bail to two accused persons in #DelhiRiots case of violence against the @DelhiPolice in which HC Ratan Lal lost his life.
Noting that the footage of the two accused persons at the "Scene of Crime is quite egregious," the court said it was "sufficient to keep the Petitioner(s) in custody."
Comparing the cases to those of other accused who were given bail in the matter, the court said the Petitioners "did not satisfy the ingredients to claim bail on ground of parity with the other co-accused...as none of those co-accused...were caught in an overt act..."
