Two sex pests who heartlessly gang-raped a mentally handicapped woman in Lamu County, while masquerading as Good Samaritans are in our custody. Shadrack Murimi Maina, 45 and Hiribae Kokane, 43, subjected the woman to the dreadful act in an abandoned house in Sina Mbio area.
The sex perverts, accompanied by a Nyumba Kumi elder Samuel Ngumi, were on patrol when they bumped into the middle-aged woman preparing tea in the crime-prone area.She had a loaf of bread.Fearing for her safety, Ngumi told the two men to watch over her as he went to seek help.
However, Ngumi got a shock of his life when he returned to the spot and caught Murimi on the act of raping the intellectually disabled woman. Kokane had already taken his turn and fled the scene. The incident happened between 8am and 9am on Monday.
With the help of residents, Ngumi rescued the woman and alerted the police. Murimi and Kokane were swiftly arrested and locked up behind bars. They’ll face rape charges once our detectives finalize investigations.
The officers took the terrified victim to the nearby Hindi Magogoni Dispensary for medical examination. The rapists were also subjected to a medical examination. To stem the rising cases of rape and defilement, the DCI wishes to caution men who prey on innocent women

An investor based in India, is counting losses after being defrauded close to Sh200 Million in a fake gold deal involving a fraudster from Guinea Bissau, identified as Cavalho Lopes.
The fraudster who styles himself as a gold dealer obtained $1,780,000 from one Malian Sanjay, based in Mumbai, India on the pretext that he would sell him 44.45 Kgs worth of gold. According to investigations by Serious Crimes detectives based at DCI headquarters,

DCI’s Anti Terror Police Officers are set to benefit from an intensive counterterrorism training program, courtesy of a project developed by the European Union.
Representatives from the Spanish Police who are spearheading the program led by the project director Javier Hernandez, met the DCI director George Kinoti this afternoon, to discuss the finer details of the program.
