"The 10 Habits of Highly Effective People"

| Thread
1. They Take Action:

It is important to organize, plan, & set priorities, but without action, a plan is nothing more than potential.

Successful people act – quickly and often. In addition, although it may sound counterintuitive, they act (start, anyway) before they feel ready.
2. They don’t wait for anyone else to motivate them:

True motivated is self-motivation.

Although a little encouragement from others can help, it really is all down to the individual.

Motivated people find success without looking to others for encouragement or push.
3. They don’t compare themselves to others:

Comparing yourself to others is not only disastrous when it comes to your self-esteem, but it can also be disastrous when it comes to your career.

It’s a losing battle – comparing yourself to others will never really achieve anything
4. They Network:

Successful people know the value of exchanging ideas with others through networking.

Successful people know the importance of surrounding themselves with other successful people.

79% of wealthy people spend at least five hours a month networking.
5. They Read:

While they also read for pleasure, most use their reading habit as a means to gain knowledge or insight.

Read as much as you possibly can. Nothing will help you as much as reading.
6. They have a Positive Attitude:

Having a positive attitude is not just a result of being successful – it’s one of the root causes of success.

It’s not enough to express a positive attitude. You must also remind yourself why u are grateful in order to achieve a deeper effect.
7. They pay attention to personal care:

Personal care with regard to diet, exercise, & hygiene comes next on the list of habits of those who are successful.

Elon Musk, put it succinctly when asked what daily habit has had the largest impact on his life.
He said, “Showering.”
8. They Organize

One of the most frequently mentioned habits of those who are successful in life is organization.

Such organization includes planning as well as setting priorities & goals.

Sunday is an important day for organizations “getting ready for the rest of the week.”
9. They don’t put things off:

Putting things off works in a vicious circle.
We put things off, then we beat ourselves up about it, which undermines our confidence, which then leads to more procrastination.

Successful people don’t put off for tomorrow what they can do today.
10. They do not allow their ego to control them:

They remain humble and level-headed regardless of how successful and powerful they become.
They understand that the ego is a negative emotion.
They are motivated to do these things by their desire to be a person of strength, character, and conviction.
