Coming up with content is hard.

And yet in one year I've:
• Tweeted 11k times
• Built out 4 courses
• Written 30+ threads
• Recorded 75+ podcasts

How?

🧵 11 frameworks to come up with unlimited content ideas:
1. Content Matrix

Let's start with a powerful one. Mix and match across key inputs.

The process:

• Open a sheet
• 1 column for potential audiences
• 1 column for topics
• 1 column for medium
• 1 column for angles
• Cross-pollinate columns
• Pick ideas
2. Spontaneous Capture

Dedicate one app solely to capturing content ideas in the moment. I use Typefully for this.

The process:

• Capture the idea in your app
• Leave it alone for 12 hours
• Go back in and edit it
• Schedule for posting
3. Tweet Stalk

Find past ideas that worked, and conjugate them for the present.

The process:

• Download Twemex Chrome extension
• Visit any profile (even yours)
• Study best-performing tweets
• Change them for your niche
• Give credit if needed
4. AI Brainstorming

If you're stuck, AI is a great tool to get the gears going.

The process:

• Open @copy_ai
• Click on "Blog Ideas" tool
• Put in a seed idea (ex. startup growth)
• Copy hundreds of ideas to a doc
• Plan out content calendar accordingly
5. Morning Braindump

The power of batching is unmatched.

The process:

• Open a blank word doc
• Set a timer for 30 minutes
• Set a topic constraint (ex. marketing)
• Write every idea you can for 30 mins
• Stop and leave it for 12 hours
• Revisit, edit, and schedule
6. Reddit Scraping

Reddit is a goldmine for memes, commentary, and ideas.

The process:

• Open a drive or folder for a swipe file
• Find a subreddit (ex. r/AdPorn)
• Save images and comments
• Add to content calendar
7. AYA (Ask Your Audience)

Want to know what your audience wants? Well, ask.

The process:

• Put out polls
• Post straight-up questions
• Perform audience interviews
• Take notes and create what they want
8. YouTube Comment Scraping

Very similar to Reddit Scraping, but in comment sections rather than subreddits.

The process:

• Visit your fav YT channel
• Open a video related to your topic
• Find questions in comments you could answer
9. Repurpose Responsibly

Don't go crazy on this, but it can be effective and a true multiplier.

The process:

• Take your piece of content
• Conjugate it for a different platform (ex. Tweet → YT Video)
• Key is to make it native to each app
10. Twitter Advanced Search

If you want to swipe topic-based content, this is a great way to go.

The process:

• Search using quotes around the KW ("startup marketing")
• Set a minimum likes threshold ("startup marketing" min_faves:300)
• Find ideas and formats

Good landing pages make hundreds.

Great landing pages make millions.

Here are the 8 pillars every page needs to be great (plus a prize at the end):
- Intro -

To start, the difference between a 1% and 2% conversion rate (CVR) could mean millions of dollars.

Landing page optimization is one of the highest ROI tactics in your tool belt.

But none of it will work without these 8 key elements. Image
1. Clear Navigation

You need your most helpful pages listed in the navigation. Make it easy to skip between valuable portions of the site.

No massive drop-downs with 80 links.

If you're running ads to this page or just driving sign ups, take the nav away altogether. Image

I had almost no followers 1.5 years ago.

Since then:

• 75k+ followers
• 50M+ impressions
• 4x income increase

How did I get the first 5k followers?

The simple process I used:
1. Gather 10 topics to tweet about

Consider that quantity can lead to quality over time.

You'll never know what works until you try multiple things.

Pick your own 10 topics and commit to creating content around each daily.

Ex:
2. Tweet once per day about each topic

Use a simple content calendar to keep track of what you post.

Consistency is the most important function at this stage.

If you can't stay true to posting daily when you're just starting, it'll be impossible to keep going 2 years in.

Landing page not converting?

I’ve spent 7 years earning learnings to help pages perform.

THREAD 🧵 17 pro tips to take your landing page from 0 to sales.
Tip: Pick your dream outcome before anything

What are you hoping the customer will do? What metrics determine success? Knowing this means you know what the page needs to be.
Tip: Use more white space

Avoid cramping the elements on your page. You want each section to stand out and be hyper-legible. When in doubt, space it out.

I knew nothing about marketing when I started my career.

Since, I've accelerated my learning like crazy and taken tons of notes.

🧵 18 hard-earned marketing lessons:
It's all about the hook:

If you can't write a great first line, you'll never get a reader to the second.

The hook of anything you write (ad, email, website, whatever) dictates the potential success of the campaign.

Learn to write a great hook, and you'll never go hungry again.
School writing and real writing are different things:

I was an excellent writer in school.

Then I tried using that skill to write an ad. Totally flopped.

Essay format doesn't really work on the internet.

You need a great hook, short sentences, and simple language.
