Copywriting gurus are lying to you.

They say “use benefits not features”.

They are WRONG.
And because of their dusty by-the-book-techniques…

Your conversion rates suffer.

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<
This is not a click bait.
I mean it.

They’re wrong.
Let me explain why.
But before…

Let’s understand what features are…

And what benefits are…

Simply put:
Features

A list of things that are part of your product or service.

For example:

My service is copywriting.

Features:

• I write quickly
• I write persuasively
• I know how to do research

Those are benefits.
And…
Benefits

How the product or service affects the customer.

But…
How do you come up with a list of benefits?

It’s quite simple really.
You list the features and ask yourself “so what?”

And you’ve got a benefit.

Let’s try:
Feature:
• I write quickly

So what?

Benefit:
• You get to launch your funnel within 24 hours

Feature:
• I write persuasively

So what?

Benefit:
• Your email will sell more.

But that’s just the beginning…
Because there’s another trick.

“The benefit behind the benefit”.
But we’ll get to this in a second.

Before we do…

Remember what I promised?
The gurus are lying to you. They say you should use only benefits…

They’re wrong.
Here’s why:
Imagine this:

You’re scrolling through Twitter. And you see an ad…

It writes…

“How to have endless financial freedom in life with real estate”

You click.
Go to a landing page.

The same is written there.
Demanding to get your email.

Do you give it to them?
No? 👇
If this headline smells scammy to you…

It’s because they used benefits.
But didn’t use features.

Let’s break it down:

“Endless financial freedom” is a benefit.

But they don’t answer the simple question “how?”
Which would reveal the feature.
You see…

We need to see features alongside benefits to feel safe.

To feel like we know what we’re buying into.

So instead… use this headline:

“How to get endless financial freedom using our 7-step real estate flipping guide”

See?
We’ve grounded it by doing two things.

1. It has 7-steps. Which is essentially a feature.

2. Real estate flipping - we explained HOW you get to the promised benefit.

Which headline would convert better?

Now.
The bonus part:
As promised - the hidden benefit behind a benefit formula:

Let’s do it again.

Feature:
• I persuasively

So what?

Benefit:
• So you sell more

Meaning? - shows the benefit of the benefit.

Benefit of benefit:
• You don’t have to worry about cashflow for the next 6 months.
Let’s do it again.

Now all-in-one:

Feature: I write quickly

Benefit: you get to launch your funnel within 24 hours

Benefit of the benefit: you can have a proof of concept to show investors ASAP

Let’s combine into one headline. Or billet point…
I write quickly and that’s why you’ll be able to launch within 24 hours and have a proof of concept for investors ASAP

Few copywriters use this formula.
But it works like a charm.

If you have less than 1,000 followers…

And you’re spending your time writing tweets and threads…

You’re doing it wrong.

How I grew 35-60 followers per day when I had less than 1,000 followers:

Almost without tweeting.

>> A thread 🧵 <<
Big account grow simply by getting engagement on their tweets.

Engagement shows their tweets to more people.

They engage.
Go into the Twitter profile - and follow.

Their friends see it. They engage. And visit the profile - snowball.

You can’t do that.
Your tweets below 1,000 followers get very low engagement.
If at all.

So how do you grow?
You use the engagement of big accounts.

Here’s how you do it (and how I did it):

How to cast a witch-like spell on your readers...

that would FORCE them to read EVERYTHING?

A master thread 🧵
I've built several sales pages that made 6 figures.
The secret sauce?

The reader reads the first sentence..
then "wakes up" from the trance only after purchasing.

There are many techniques to that.
But if to sum it up?

curiosity + remove friction + transitions = trance
Make the copy easy to check out

If you don't space your sentences and paragraphs correctly?

Your text will look like it's a difficult read.
And if a reader wouldn't wanna check it out?

He wouldn't read it either.

You lost.
He's back to playing pokemon.

Marketers are like drug-dealers.

We use chemicals in our reader’s minds to get them addicted…

There are 4 chemicals.
And if you learn how to use them…

Tell your competitors to start praying.

[A THREAD]
Dopamine - the chemical of distraction.

“I gotta go clean the dishes”…

“Oh, Facebook.”

Look for a person’s current addictions. Specifically, what is their chosen method of distraction?

HINT: It’s usually content.
Oxytocin - the chemical of connection

Where does your audience get their hits of oxytocin?

Do they watch Tony Robbins? If so - talk about him in your marketing.

Who and what are they connected to?

Ads that made $10,000,000?

Are at your fingertips
Here’s how to find them

// A Thread \\
Go to swiped.co for a library of legendary ads.

It’s free.

You can also find emails there.
Go to FB ad library.

facebook.com/ads/library/

You can find any brand or advertiser and see ALL their ads.

Note how long an ad has been running. The longer - the better it’s performing.

Bad copywriters: bad grammar

Good copywriters: good grammar

Legendary copywriters: break grammar

4 Advanced copywriting techniques that force you to break grammar…

[A THREAD]
Copywriting grammar breaker #1:

There’s one thing that you’ll rarely see in my writing.

Commas (,).

As you probably know - one of the basics rules of copywriting is “write as you speak”..

And commas break that flow.
Avoid at all cost.
Copywriting grammar breaker #2:

Starting a sentence with “transitions”. (The words “and”, “but”)…

As you can probably see - I’m doing that all the time.

*And* although it’s grammatically incorrect… it helps the reader continue reading.

Use at all cost.

Imagine this.

You wake up tomorrow…

No money, no connections, no following.

You’ve lost everything.

Here’s what I would do to get to $10K in 60 days…

The exact 4-step framework:

[A Thread 🧵]
Step one:

Learn a high-income, measurable skill.

Copywriting
FB ads
Google ads
Email marketing

Whatever it is - as long as it’s measurable.

You’ll understand why in step 3. But before that, step two..
Step two:

Find 1 customer who would not pay you anything.

Ask a friend or family member if they know of a business owner who you could provide your service for free.

All you have to do is create a small result.

Get them 3 leads/day on FB is enough. Here’s why…
