Now more than ever Leftists are making their cases against the State. We always seem to be so damn close but we must shake people from their constant consumption. Entertainment, Nationalism, and Religion are the new opiates of the masses.
We can't do it without them. They must understand they can have more and be more than they ever imagined if we but commit to the Revolution. Only Leftist like us can do this. We must seep through every crack in their consciousness. Touch their hearts.
We must reach others deeply as humans. We must show them the better way. We must welcome them in and let them know they are our fellow human beings and we don't seek to divide but unite. Only the power-hungry seek to divide us.
I am not a robot. I just like the play on words. #CheckIfIAmHuman refers to my desire to connect with people as humans not mere products of solidified ideology.
Ideology that uses propaganda or agenda-laden speech can come from various spectrums ranging from hate to love and even apathy. The merit of ideology is found in if it promotes or hinders the flourishing of human and animal life.
Well-adjusted humans can empathize with others and find common ground, dreams, and interests that we all may share. I used to be rather reactionary against people that didn't fall within my camp (wherever that used to be). Thankfully I've seen the error in that thinking.
The more we see an enemy in others the less likely we will flourish in this world. The less we cooperate within reason we are finding ourselves in precarious situations. Those in power love this as they can exploit our biases. They can stoke our fears.
The more we can be used by the rich and powerful (1% et al.) then we are mere pawns. Ununified, distraught, stressed, and always seeking Justice in a system that thrives on injustice and exploitation. This will not and never has worked.
The more we become unified the more the 1% will fear us. That is why they do all they can to separate us. Break up co-ops. Keep us under the heel of Capitalism and force us either into poverty or compliant servitude. But what is the answer?
I will quote @Ploratus who said to me, "Irrelevance is key". By this he is speaking about everyone providing #MutualAid and to stop cooperating with the State. We must make the State irrelevant. We must show them where power lies. It is within us all.
The people in their Ivory Towers and guarded by hired goons are all but untouchable but we needn't touch them to win. I laugh at a 1-Day #GeneralStrike and they will too. That doesn't even say,
"We are serious!"
What will say that is our unified front against the the power of Capitalism and the State (they are one and the same now). I ask for non-violence. Of course, they use force, threats, and coercion. But unless in a situation of self-protection don't go there!
However, if our communities gather together we are capable of supporting one another. It will be hard for Police and Military to fight entire communities made of their own families and friends. Hoping most of them will reject a position within the machinery of State violence.
The State claims that they exist because of the consent of the governed. I don't know about you but when were you ever asked for your consent? Did we ever deliberate over it? Were we given a chance, even a child? Or were we coerced and brainwashed to be loyal to the State?
Most are unfortunately brainwashed, conditioned and they don't see it. I was! They comply. They take commands. They accept authority by people that don't even care how their personal lives go. if you're born poor pull yourself up by your bootstraps or join the military!
Work for a pittance and dredge through life wondering how you can get by all the while just hoping that you won't fall sick or get fired or that your mode of transportation isn't lost to accident, theft, or mechanical failures you can't afford to repair!
People listen to 24/7 MSM news cycle and wonder why they are frustrated, depressed, anxious, and dislike people they've never met or had a conversation with in-person. Never try to understand other people's situations (even if they are chaotic and irrational)!
Just be glad you are on the 'Correct Team' and wear the right colored hat! Be proud that you voted and wear that sticker because this time unlike all other times the State will finally get things right and do things that doesn't hurt or exploit the people.
Make sure you support the pundits that are paid by 1 of the 6 Media Corporations that churn out a State Narrative to keep everyone at each others throats. Blast a politician with Tweets and never question why the hell is it like this in the first place?
Why don't we just take back the power? Why don't we just join locally as communities and rebuild a better future for ourselves? The State ignores us but they don't ignore the Rich and profoundly influential barkers who've made a cash cow by putting in a stake and never moving!
Keep consuming, wanting the best of this or that. Try to keep up with the Jones'. Impress people that don't give a hoot about you or only those that pay attention if you're in their bubble. Don't dare break with convention! Keep in your lane!
You just aren't smart enough to understand the complexities and nuances of the political world and the economy. Plebs should stay silent. Where is your degree from a distinguished Ivy League school or Uni? Well, you don't have it? Then we laugh at you!
Well, they'll claim that there have been some to climb to a high place but they neglect often to tell you the many underhanded or shady deeds to do so or the folk they walked on and no longer remember were there for them at the beginning. They forget where they came from!
They claim they climbed upwards but inwardly is it worth it to rub elbows with those that manipulate and control others by either force, coercion, lies, and marketing? If they remember who and where they come from can't they do more than give away some of their wealth to charity?
Why won't they really use their voice to help us tear this cruel and ineffective system down? Why do people fetishize celebrities? Stay around long enough and most will disappoint you. these are people. They may be talented but so are you in some way!
If you aren't a talented person in something then that is evidence that society as a whole has let you down. Talent isn't a reason to shower millions or billions upon others all the while we ignore what is happening to our own neighbors!
Our disjointed neighborhoods with their fences and HOAs and rules from our landlords tells us what we can and can't do and heaven forbid you be one day late on rent because you had a financial emergency! We hardly don't even know who is next door anymore.
If a person is congenial or friendly people call that person creepy or suspicious. They must have an agenda. Well that is called conditioning! We are taught to distrust others, the other, the unknowns. It's in the news. It is in movies. It's in the very system.
I am not saying don't use some caution and be watchful for very telling cues and clues. I am saying give people a chance. Give yourself a chance. Ask your neighbor if they'd like to talk. Avoid divisionism. Try to be people not ideological tokens.
If you see the discussion going awry you can always excuse yourself or ask to speak about that topic later once you get to know each other. People in our society are conditioned to walk around as 'correctness thermometers". We all have biases. Some may be well-reasoned.
Some may not be. The question is does that bias stand up against the experiential value of the other human(s) you are engaging with? There is always some risk in any interaction. But the people we know the best are those to engage with about touchy subjects.
This is another thing. Twitter is a cesspool for divisionism. Just look at how social media blows up when a politician says something. Someone made a mistake of judgment ten years ago or someone is venerable or misinformed and is dogpiled by Twitter users. Does this really help?
What is all this about? I tell you this; Twitter has its own biases. They listen to corporate lawyers to protect themselves and know just how to dangle precarity and frustration so that people are all at each other's throats! I miss the day of good old emails or chat rooms.
There was less of a reward to win the "I Am Always Right Award" and be cheered on by a Number One Team. There used to be understood rules of civility and respect. Of course there were outliers but Social Media allowed those outliers to become celebrities!
I say they are regarded as celebrities because many can't wait until they say the next outrageous thing. Politicians are the biggest trolls of them all. They play people's feelings and sensibilities and values all the time. Their pundits in MSM do the very same thing!
They can't wait for the "Gotcha!" They thrive on it and can't get enough people screaming at each other or telling you who and who isn't the new enemy to be despised. I think it is a very well-orchestrated media function. It brings in the bucks! It gets people riled and afraid!
Okay so what else can I say? We are all losing while they are all winning. How long until we keep sitting on our hands? How long until we organize and really do an effective and disciplined #GeneralStrike?

This thread is regarding #GunRelatedCasualties:
As an #anarchist/#LibertarianSocialist/#LibrarySocialist I think the problem lies within the way in which we integrate others into our cultures and educate our own communities. A strong centralized or even weakly-associated
government always has a chance of making poor decisions and this keeps us in a regressive situation. The ratchet effect is clear indication of this in the US.

Mandating things won't change people's skewed internal perspectives. Yelling at them won't either or making them
pet projects on one issue. This is a communitarian situation. People must have conversations and reach an agreement. I am a strong proponent for direct democracy. If people have the right community-based care, rights to means, and access to assistance this person with
