Hillary campaign lawyer Sussmann is indicted by the grand jury. The indictment was sought by Special Counsel Durham.
The specific count is lying to the FBI by not disclosing that Sussmann was acting on behalf of a client when he made anti-Trump allegations before the election
/1
The indictment says that Sussmann's alleged lie made the FBI open an investigation and waste resources/time
/2
Everyone should read the full indictment to appreciate the scale of the alleged deception operation undertaken just before the 2016 election

The role of the media in distributing DNC's false narrative just before the 2016 election is highlighted in the indictment.
Looking at you, New York Times, Mother Jones, the Slate etc.

5 years ago, the Crossfire Hurricane investigation was opened.
It was problematic from the start: the same agent, Peter Strzok, drafted, approved, launched and supervised the investigation into a political campaign 4 months before the election.
Why was there no oversight?
2) The Russia collusion investigation was opened based on an alleged “suggestion of a suggestion” by a junior campaign advisor passed through informal channels, i. e. a rumour about a rumour.
Yet somehow the whole campaign leadership ended up being investigated.
3) Although the public was told that the information used to launch investigation came from a Friendly Foreign Government, the opening document (Electronic Communication) show that the tip came through informal channels.
This is a breach of the Five Eyes intelligence agreement.
The Guardian's Harding is only brave when he thinks he can spread lies without being held to account
Harding put me on the FRONT PAGES falsely accusing me of being a Russian spy in inappropriate relationship with Gen Flynn
Harding knew this was a horendous lie but printed anyway
Naturally I sued Harding and the Guardian. They were forced to retract.
Having defamed me, and made my life hell by unleashing the media on me, and then forced to retract, Harding felt a bit "awkward" so he took to avoiding me at literary festivals.
That's Luke Harding and the Guardian for you, ladies and gentlemen.
“According to the newly released FBI documents, Halper told the FBI on Aug. 11, 2016, of an incident that he claimed took place between Flynn and Svetlana Lokhova, a Russian-born British citizen, at an event at the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar in 2014.” m.theepochtimes.com/stefan-halpers…
“According to the document Halper claimed that Flynn left the university dinner with Lokhova and that she “joined [Flynn] on the train ride to London. Halper told FBI that he was somewhat suspicious of Lokhova as she has been affiliated with several prominent members of [redacted
“FBI would later discover this story was almost certainly false and Special Agent Barnett, the lead agent in the Flynn investigation, later noted in an investigative memo that he “found the idea FLYNN could leave an event, either by himself or [redacted].. theepochtimes.com/stefan-halpers…
“Stefan Halper lied to the FBI August 11 and 12, 2016 & What is to be done?”Svetlana Lokhova audioboom.com/posts/7814232-…
Svetlana Lokhova with John Batchelor on the @batchelorshow: “Stefan Halper deceived a puzzlingly passive FBI. Feb 2014 dinner attended by Flynn, but not Halper, who was a long-term FBI informant. FBI has been less than transparent about this chronology.”
“Halper met with the FBI on Aug 11 and 12 2016, previously they opened Crossfire Hurricane; did not open an investigation into General Flynn. Halper told a whopper of a lie: “I was at a dinner [where he had not been] and Svetlana latched on to Gen Flynn and taken a cab with him..
‘Frightening’: Devin Nunes says FBI informant ‘made up a bunch of lies’ about Michael Flynn and me!
"It’s frightening. Imagine being spied upon by your own government, and then that spy makes up a bunch of lies about everybody,” Nunes said.
"Nunes was referring to an FBI memo released this week of an interview that investigators conducted on Aug. 11, 2016, with Stefan Halper, a former Cambridge professor and longtime confidential human source (CHS) for the FBI."
“The objective of the Obama administration and its FBI hierarchy was to continue the Trump–Russia investigation, even after President Trump took office, and even though President Trump was the quarry.” @AndrewCMcCarthy nationalreview.com/2020/05/fbi-se…
“The investigation would hamstring Trump’s capacity to govern and reverse Obama policies. Continuing it would allow the FBI to keep digging until it finally came up with a crime or impeachable offense that they were then confident they would find.” @AndrewCMcCarthy
“Even then, the FBI was telling the FISA court that Trump’s campaign was suspected of collaborating in Russia’s election interference. FBI brass had also pushed for the intelligence community to include the Steele dossier in its report assessing Russia’s meddling in the campaign”
