Here's a hit piece written in support of "no spread in hospitals" which is belied by outbreaks of SARS, MERS, everything else in hospitals that adhere to droplet for $$:
Story about 1 to 82 transmitting MERS in a crowded ER.
Air spread.
Which we do not believe in, in Ontario, including in hospitals.
So hey, maybe it was the ER fruit tray.
Another study of nosocomial spread (hospital spread) of MERS.
They tested the air currents, and the airflow pattern matched the outbreak (where the infecteds were). The hallway away from the currents had no patients infected.
Psst if you do want to do a pro-no-spread-in-hospital study, saying spread comes from community, do the study over a time period when cases in community are on the rise, and hospitals won't have caught up.
