(1/10) Here's another Rant about why the Afghanistan Conflict has nothing to do with it's "mediaval backwardness" or primitive tribalism as some people in the west claim neither with the cold war
(2/10)
of course the importance of the soviet invasion cannot be denied but there are other reasons, namely the worst disaster in the history of british decolonization: The indian subcontinent.Let me explain.
So they divided the indian subcontinent in a muslim and a hindu nation.
Yes, One muslim nation. Young people from the west might not know this but Bangladesh used to be part of Pakistan. Pakistan is not a natural nation so when they built their state they went fot urdu nationalism. The Bengals of Bangladesh didn't like it. So they revolted
(4/10)
The Pakistanis sent their army in and commited a genozide in Bengal in the 70ts. The Indians who had territorial disputes with pakistan intervened. pakistan lost bangladesh and they failed to conquer Jammu and Kashmir in wars with India. They grew paranoid
(5/10)
This is where they start going crazy. They ally with the U.S. because india gets support from Soviet Russia.
And of course when the Russians went into Afghanistan they supported the Afghan Mujahedeen. But they also worked with china to develop nukes avgainst india
(6/10) So Pakistan is allied to China an ally of Russia but they are hostile to Russia. Also They are allied with the U.S. who are enemies with China. that just shows the utter absurdity of Pak foreign politics.
So they felt surrounded by enemies and started to fund terror groups
(7/10) They funded the Taliban during the Afghan civil war after soviets left as fell to deny india an ally in a possible united Afghanistan as the largest intern. communist terror group, the naxalites which operate in India of course. This is proven by independent journalists.
(8/10)
With other words the new Afghan conflict of the early 90s to today is just a part of Indias and Pakistans bitter rivalry and hatred for each other.
(9/10) The U.S. didn't bother to analyze this and ignored Pakistans continous support for the Taliban whilst they went into Afghanistan. Instead of actually talking about the real problem, that it is a part of a larger regional conflict it was framed as part of the war on Terror.
(10/10)So if someone from the West wants to blame someone/something for Afghanistan don't blame the Quran, tribal structures or the Afghans
Blame:
Great Britain for being imperialists without a brain
Nationalist Pakistanis and Indians
The Americans for being poorly educated
So (2/10) accidentally ended as sub-comment to (1/10)
and I forgot to designate (3/10) as such. I also made some typos.
Comment (7/10) should read:
'They funded the Taliban during the Afghan civil war after soviets left to ndeny india an ally in a possible united Afghanistan
as well as the largest intern. ...'

So how did Afghanistan fall so quickly from a military standpoint? I already made a thread about the political aspects.
Let me eplain my opinion. You are welcome to add or disagree
So there is the claim that the ANA didn't fight as soon as the Americans left. This is untrue. The Americans had retreated widely since middle of 2020 but the Government still held a lot of territory in early 2021.
The Afghan army was by no means strong or well eqquiped and their morale was very low since 60.000 fellowAfghan soldiers died over the last 20 years 8 (And the Americans are only complaining about their 2.000.dead guys🙄😑)

Just Another day in the west. Just another horrible day in occupied Afghanistan.

Events of the last 24 hours:
- 2 bombings in Kabul and Jalalabad

-Fire set to warehouse in west Afghanistan

-3 Panjshir districts cleared from Taliban
(2/3)

-2 districts in Badakhshar freed by resistance

-spontaneous uprising in Takhar. One district free fron Taliban

-Supply route to Tajikistan established

-Wakhan Corridor is cut of from Taliban reinforcements
(3/3)

-Mullah Baradar is confirmed alive in Kabul. But he was missing for a week. There is a rift growing within the Taliban Leadership

-#AlQaida is rumored to send 7.500 terrorists into Panjshir to clear it. They will get Panjshir as a base for their terrorist camps in return.
