It's bizarre to me that, out of all the amazing things on The Jetsons we don't yet have, people focus their complaints on flying cars - which are, at best, only a Top 5 Jetsons Thing (and most definitely not No 1).
Robot Maid is obvs #1, and - quite frankly - it's not even close.
And, for my money, the Toaster Bed/morning hygiene system has gotta be second.
Third is probably the kid-dropoff system (all parents can feel me on this one), which is sorta related to the flying car but def not dependent on the flying part. Could easily do this with a tall bridge or whatever.
Fourth & Fifth are where the flying car & suitcase parking system should probably be, BUT with the latter way cooler & more important than the former.
Anyway, you get the idea. We wanted flying cars, sure. But what we really NEEDED was robot maids, toaster beds, & carpool-drop-off systems. Just bizarre we focused on the cars. Smh.

NFL = 'Nother Flag League. Borderline unwatchable.
I mean, at least baseball is *supposed* to be slow and boring. (That's its charm!) What's pro football's excuse?
The NFL is lucky standard time is coming soon. All that (glorious) Sunday darkness will force us inside, leaving us little choice but to watch garbageball or - gasp - talk to each other.
The only thing I truly miss abt Big Law is the DC office's professional-grade, European espresso machines (incl the porcelain demitasse!). So fancy, so globalist, so good.
Anyway, back to the coffee: having a high end coffeemaker and appropriate accoutrements seems like such a no brainer. Relatively low cost per employee, and you keep the troops happy AND wired to work work work.
Great Parents' Night tonight. We're only 5 days in, and it appears that the 8YO is already gaming the homework system. Chip off the ol' block. #proud
Don't let your kids read this, but I basically did - at best - 20% of my homework through 12 yrs of school (without cheating, obvs), and I turned out just fine. Gaming the system is an important skill too - maybe THE MOST important! #slackersFTW
True story: my mom went to some parents' night back in the day & the mom next to her started talking abt all the homework her son did, and Mom just nodded along & then came home all mad & asked "X does 3 hrs of homework per night and you do like 15 mins how is that possible" LOL
