Here's something people might find interesting. These are photos taken during WWII by some of the men my maternal grandfather served with. These were taken late in the war but the island or islands is not named.
I have more but these are the ones I am posting today.
Why I like these photos is they give you a glimpse what every day life was like during the war.
Tomorrow I will look for the ones that feature the natives. That should narrow down the islands considerably.

This is at least the fourth redistricting cycle in a row where the Connecticut legislature has been unable to pass a redistricting map. For whatever reason, the Dem legislature has yet to make a ballot initiative to lower the threshold to a simple majority.
I would guess the 1980's map was also not drawn by the legislature but my 1984 almanac does not go into detail.
Yes, you read that right. The legislature has not passed a map since at least the 1980's but likely earlier than that.

Random but I love how the Louisiana bayou is such a great Horror setting. I guess probably the best known example is Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.
1943's Son of Dracula is another good example.
Southern Gothic is one of my favorite genres. I love William Faulkner.

The problem with Bartlet's reelection is that he was the main character and therefore was going to win no matter what. It wouldn't be a very long show if he lost.
also happy to see Mastar Bra'tac show up on The West Wing.
unfortunately President Bartlet has plot armor

I still don't know what to think of the film. It's very un Pixar
I will say that it is better than Finding Nemo though. Dreadful film.

Putting the panhandle with Mormon country is definitely a move. I can't imagine that going over well.
Idaho's congressional district map has looked largely the same for several decades. This would be a huge shakeup.
True Ada County has nothing in common with those northern counties but I just don't think putting the north with the Mormon corner is wise.

It's a shame we don't have Caro for every President. I need my six volume look at William Henry Harrison's presidency.
I need 9,000 words on Chester Arthur.
I need those words now in particular. I am demanding my followers give me 9,000 words on him.
