#ENVtuber tip: Small Goals are supreme. If you set small goals, it gives you that sweet serotonin because its easy to accomplish and makes you wanna and feel like you can do more. (A thread) 1/16
For example, lets say you have 3 viewer avg in your stream. Set your small goal to something like 7 viewer avg. Now I hear you saying "But thats only 4 people!?" Yes. It is. 4 more people in your stream watching you and interacting with your content. 2/16
Correct me if Im wrong, bc my math do be dookie, but 7 is bigger than 3 no? 4 more people is also achievable. And if you announce your small goal in a sphere where people are watching you (i.e. Twitter) people will be more inclined to help upu reach that goal. Heres why. 3/16
People love an underdog story. Its sorta human nature by proxy to root for a little guy, someone whose starting up, someone whose passionate but an amateur etc. Its cool to see someone rise from little to nothing. Its like watching a hero story. 5/16
However; theres a lot at play, you cant just say those things and expect people to root for you off the cuff. You have to be sociable to some extent, genuine, honest and probably not saint kind, but definitely a decent human being. 6/16
Showing up for others and their accomplishments (while not always the case) and rooting for them and their goals, will in turn have people be there for yours. Becoming apart of someone else's community, will in turn have that mutualism and grow yours. 7/16
If it sounds like a lot of work, thats because it is. While people love an underdog, you have to keep in mind, that if you dont have anyone on your side to begin with to gas you up, its going to be a rough time. 8/16
And I know there are people that are like "I dont need anyone! I can do this myself!" And Im gonna say this: that is such a detriment to your overall climb to becoming better, not just with content, but life. 9/16
Humans by nature are sociable creatures and 9/10 are more inclined to help one another even sometimes people we dont even know. Its a very unique power with humans because it allows us to do some pretty sick shit when we've banded together. 10/16
So while I respect the desire to do things alone, I think youre really only holding yourself back from your potential imho by not socializing or networking. Making small goals will incentivize your homies to show up for you. 11/16
And then you can slowly move onto bigger and bigger goals each time. If you dont have any particular cracked strengths, friends who are way bigger than you plugging your content, popular vtuber mama etc. This is the way youre going to grow naturally over time. 12/16
Most people dont wanna hear that truth. Because they either see or compare themselves to someone whose been doing this shit for awhile, got lucky, or have delusions of grandeur. But none of this shit is easy. Even for the big guys. Everyone starts SOMEWHERE.13/16
I've been at this for almost a year and I grew a little bit at a time every month. Is it frustrating to not meet a goal? Even a small one? Yeah! That shit SUCKS ASS!!! But I channel that frustration into making myself, community and content better for next time. 14/16
Each time, I set a small goal, which sometimes isnt even a viewer average. Sometimes its smth like "I will make sure my audio is phenomenal" or "I'll make every single person who visits my stream this month feel like theyre APART OF A FAMILY" alongside any main goal I have. 15/16
Set small goals. Easily acheiveable and give you the chance to look forward to other accomplishments. Being a content creator is not easy, bc if it was, everyone would be one. But everyone does have the potential to become great. I believe that wholeheartedly. 16/16
