GW 5 Stats - xG

Sarr 😍 - Another winger returning high xG numbers v Norwich could be one to target (Grey 🤔)
Budget Midfielders

Elyounoussi 5.5m could be one to have a look at come GW 8 when they have a never schedule.
Captain Choices for the next 8 GW's - The results you will not believe!!

Looks like we are going to have some high % captained players over the next few weeks.
None Lukaku owners should be a little concerned in not having him with the amount of potential captain options for him

On Dias v Rudiger

What you have to consider is that all defenders on a team get the same points for a clean. So the differentiation on bonus only occurs in 2 ways, attacking returns or due to high baseline.
At Chelsea the wing backs are key creators, with Alonso almost playing up top, so there’s a strong chance they could get bonus. Then the central of the 3 cb’s is a pure blocker and passer, this massively helps their baseline bonus. What we see is this means that Rudiger has...
...the lowest bonus potential of any Chelsea defender. Even with the goal last weekend that is the case per 90. So even if he plays every game, 4 other defenders will also play and reduce his chances.
For City however, in a 4 at the back formation the attacking returns are diminished, and due to the high volume of passes and blocks from their cb’s Dias and Laporte are at the top of the food chain for bonus. Currently Dias is producing 1 bonus point per game, that means we...
...have a defender that starts on 3pts instead of 2 and then a clean almost certainly guarantees 7pts or more.

Dias and Rudiger feel the same, but their fpl contributions are very different.
@TheFPLWire

On Raphinha - 4 out of his 8 goals in the PL has come from the outside of the box, the moment he is inside the box he perhaps overthinks - KDB'esque

On Antonio - Leeds have conceded the most amount of goals through the middle. Even last season the most chances...
...conceded was through the middle. They seem to struggle against direct teams with runners going at them.

On Sarr - Stats inflated due to the Norwich game but Sissoko has moved to a deeper role and Kiko Fermina is back, they have a very strong relationship on the RHS which...
Newcastle are 4th for chances conceded down the left over last 4 they have conceded the highest chances in the league. If you think what Raphinha did v New, there are a lot of things in favour for Sarr this week.
@WGTA_FPL

On Duffy - 4th for baseline bonus amongst defenders. Last season Dunk averaged 3.51 clearances and 0.61 blocks per game, Duffy this season 5.8 clearances and 1.2 blocks per game. Also most shots in box amongst defenders which is mad and way underpriced.
Cancelo - most unlucky defender this season in terms of xGI (-1.18), equal xA with Robbo, he's also got ridiculous bonus monster potential. So far most successful passes in the opposition half and final third of any player this season! He is also top for xpts this season.
On Greenwood - In the last two Gw's (With Ronaldo)

Ronaldo has had 12 shots in the box... the next best are Maguire, Lingard, Sancho and Verane with 2 shots in the box!!

A hoover for their chances, CR7 has turned United to Juve in a fortnight.
This marks the intermission from FPL tips and advice and onto our new weekly PSA. This week @ComediansFpl gives us the low down on a popular food derived from soya...

Me: I know that Adam's wildcard was a disaster to his standards, but for a normal FPL player it was quite comforting to see that an expert in the game can at times succumb to impulse, to the detriment of his team. Please have a listen to the first 10 mins...
Fixture Ticker next 6 GW's sorted by ease:

Leeds have a spanking run of fixtures. Arsenal and Spurs too. Chelsea's look sensational especially their home fixtures 😍
Thoughts on Game 15 WC:

Fergi: Personally there isn't enough of a fixture swing in GW15 to nail your WC to the mast and say that's the one to go for. There are better fixture opps earlier on or to just use it when you need it.
Consensus

Wolves Defence has gone from the steal of the century to none existent in the space of a week after their loss v Brentford.

West Ham are very popular for scoring the most goals this weekend against a weak Leeds team.

The WC in GW8 over 7 seems to be popular if...
you are able to wait that long.

Thanks all for your time. I might add on to this thread tomorrow if I listen to any more... 👋
