Tylenol is a problematic drug for so many reasons. usatoday.com/story/news/hea…
Liver toxicity is a significant concern, particularly among people who are acutely ill and not eating. If the liver is depleted of a detoxifying substance called glutathione, toxic metabolites can add up. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
Also, it can cause rebound headaches. I figured this out in my early 20s on my own. I never take more than 325mg at a time. Other pain relievers have the same problem of triggering headaches if taken often.

Caffeine rebound is a huge trigger as well.

Daily Tylenol is the standard therapy for arthritis pain. However, I have found that switching to a pescatarian or vegan diet is far more effective. It’s simple biochemistry: saturated fats are metabolized into pain mediators, and unsaturated fats into anti-inflammatory ones.
Not much rigorous research has been done to prove this statement, but this has been what I have found anecdotally in myself and others whom I recommended this approach.

My father in particular was shocked by its effectiveness. If he consumed even a very small amount of saturated fat, his arthritic hands would swell up markedly the next day. I was honestly stunned when I witnessed it. A sip of kefir or a small piece of turkey would do it.

In case you are wondering about the ACIP (the people who decide on national immunization recommendations):

11 of the 15 members were appointed by Alex Azar, Trump’s Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/…
4 of them were appointed during Trump’s last month in office, at a time when the maniacs at the Great Barrington Declaration were determining White House policy.
So if you are wondering why we aren’t getting boosters, this is likely part of the problem.

What is leading the evening news today tells you exactly why we are so screwed up.
Things that were more deserving of the first 5+ minutes:
-Worsening Covid crisis
-Haitian refugee crisis and their maltreatment
-supply chain breaking.

Domestic violence makes for titillating media coverage, but that surely hasn’t changed laws or enforcement or made women safer. Image

Pediatric COVID admissions are spiking in Ohio, and we already are one of the worst states for pediatric hospitalizations. Nine children have died of COVID in Ohio already. @GovMikeDeWine needs to do something.
cleveland.com/coronavirus/20… pediatric admissions for COVID are spiking in Ohio
Pediatric ID specialist Dr. Amy Edwards at Rainbow Babies Children's Hospital in Cleveland expects both the pediatric ICU and medical floors to be overwhelmed by the end of September or early October.
Note that a hospital stay for a kid with COVID-19 can last from several days to several weeks, especially if they are in the ICU. So this is going to have long-lasting impact on the ability of pediatric hospitals to continue to provide care for all kids.

Honest question: why do husbands think their wives are telepathic?

Who the hell is Henry and for how much? Image
And of course I tried calling him like 60 seconds after he texted that, and he didn’t pick up.

I think pediatricians are jaded and don’t understand how miraculous pediatric hospital care really is. If they did they would be fighting harder to protect their hospitals.

I trained in med/peds, which means I did a combined residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
I am board certified in both pediatrics and internal medicine.

By and large, a large share of patients treated at adult hospitals have a limited lifespan as a result of age or severity of disease.

This isn’t the case in pediatric hospitals.
This is why I keep screaming from rooftops about flattening the pediatric covid curve.

We need to preserve our pediatric hospitals’ ability to care for EVERY child that needs care.

This really matters.
