#FawnFire (#MountainGate, Shasta Co) - From the community meeting: 6,820 acres & 10% containment. 169 engines, 45 dozers, 35 handcrews & 29 water tenders assigned for a total of 1,663 personnel. 9,000 structures remain threatened.
#FawnFire - A damage inspection team from CAL FIRE is en-route & arrive tomorrow, as a result of that they should have updated structural damage/destroyed figures tomorrow. A priority today was mop up & patrol in Div Y on the S/W side, significant amount of structures there.
#FawnFire - As of this evening, they've had no reports of any additional structures burning today. Lots of good work has been done & those 9,000 structures that are threatened are now in a much better situation than earlier on, but a lot of work left to do.
#FawnFire - In Divisions A & B near Fawndale: they're holding fire east of the powerlines there, will continue to work through the night & try to continue holding that. The north side by the lake continues to give them challenges, this is the area west of Jones Valley.
#FawnFire - They've been evaluating how they can get into that area closest to the lake & build control lines, that will take a couple of days to do. Fire continues to hold in the Dry Creek Rd area - continuing to mop-up & patrol along Bear Mountain Rd in that same area.
#FawnFire - If things continue like they have today, they should be able to report more success tomorrow. Weather: winds shift back & forth, out of the N/NE overnight & that will shift to winds out of the S/SW mid tomorrow morning. Temps in the 80s, maybe 70s in a couple days.

#FawnFire (#MountainGate, Shasta Co) - Long update from Air Attack as they were departing about 20 ago: retardant is holding really well on the left flank between Bear Mountain Lookout & Bear Mountain Rd, the wind shift helped that side.
#FawnFire (#MountainGate, Shasta Co) - There is still some tree torching & potential on the ridge below Bear Mountain proper, but resources are there & doing good work. Right heel is bumping the retardant in Division B & may need resources in there.
#FawnFire (#MountainGate, Shasta Co) - Stated there is big potential @ the heel of the fire on the lake side, mentioned they obviously have the lake there but the concern is the steep country & potential for it to move out back & then to the east & come back around.

#CaldorFire (El Dorado Co/ENF) - From the community meeting: incident has been split into a west & east zone. Have direct dozer & hand line all along that area of fire that went across Hwy 88 up to Two Sentinels west of Kirkwood, working to put hose in there.
#CaldorFire - They have some active fire on the west side of Hwy 88 near Silver Lake that is blowing smoke N/E, aircraft working that. Some fire still active in challenging rocky areas to the S/W of there. 1/4 acre spot fire in Div P that got handled.
#CaldorFire - Looking @ repopulation soon in Division A, they're in the process of removing their equipment & hose. Division D still looks extremely good w/ no smokes visible along the line from a recon flight. That piece could be called contained in the next day or so.

#CaldorFire (El Dorado Co/ENF) - Flareup in Div P just west of Leek Springs, couple of trees torching right up against the retardant line, but remains inside. Had to divert 2 copters from the Kirkwood area to this. No tankers right now, copters also working by Wrights Lake.
#CaldorFire - Sounds like they have a handle on this flareup & the copters are heading back to the Kirkwood area.
#CaldorFire - Those copters will now be taking action on an area of trees that are on fire threatening cabins north of Hwy 88 near Kirkwood, looking to take some of the heat out of it as it approaches them.
