Hey Canberra, don’t forget your second COVID-19 vaccine dose! 💉💉 Whilst partial protection against COVID-19 may be as soon as 12 days after the first dose, this protection is likely to be short lived. Learn more covid19.act.gov.au/vaccinefaqs
The 2nd dose encourages your body to create stronger immunity to protect you from getting very sick from COVID-19 and reduce your chance of hospitalisation, ICU admission and death.
💉 Pfizer (Comirnaty) vaccine’s second dose should be given 3-6 weeks apart after the first dose
💉 Spikevax (Moderna) vaccine’s 2nd dose should be given 4-6 weeks after the 1st dose
💉 In outbreak situations, the preferred 2nd dose of a Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) COVID-19 vaccine is between 4-8 weeks after the 1st dose (usually 12 weeks in non-outbreak situations)
