Yesterday I shared the Shloka -
कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मीः करमध्ये सरस्वती ।
करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥

Today I shall explain the reasoning behind it.
As Sanatan Dharma involves reasoning in everything that has been passed down to us in form of Knowledge.) Read till end

Our Shlokas are not just meant for chanting only because it was told so in Puranas or our Maharshi.
They have and will always have deeper essence only for if you one seeks to know the ESSENCE.

Let's understand the essence!

Karagre Vaste Lakshmi Shloka provides immense phsiological benefits thus it was said to be made the key shloka to be recited upon waking up and formed an imperative part of Vedic Dincharya (Daily Routine)

Upon waking up in the morning - Our body moves from Horizontal Position to Vertical Position. Thus blood vessels inside our body constrict themselves to adjust to change in position. Which increases heart rate. Faster BPM & Constriction of Blood vessels pressure the heart.

According to Researches its proven that most dangerous time for Cardiac arrests & Emergency is MORNING. Therefore one should Sit for couple of minutes after waking up and then Stand. Upon reciting the Shloka, we give our body Ample time for transition in change of Position.

One who recites this Shloka in the morning with a calm mind and a smiling face, makes it a good exercise for the body. Keeps the Blood Pressure Stable and them Healthy in the long run.

Seeing from A Psychological Benefits side -
Our Palm is the symbol of the five action organs.
Upon understanding the meaning of the Shloka fully and reciting it - One start the day with a positive attitude, zeal and energy to achieve the goals set out for the day.

Many ask me what exactly is the deeper meaning or why is the Shloka said as it is. So let's understand it one by one.

We say Bhagwati Lakshmi resides on tip of our Fingers as anything productive for creating/earning material progress requires us to use fingers and opposable thumbs (like writing writing this tweet)
Imagine if you wouldn't have fingers & opposable thumbs. Would we make progress?

We say Vidyadatri Saraswati resides on our Palm as its like a book. As the saying goes one writes their own destiny (but do so one require knowledge.)

We say Sri Govind resides on the base of our hand to signifies Balance with respect to Prosperity and knowledge. Else our Ego becomes too strong leading to our own eventual Downfall.

And therefore knowing all of this one should recite this Shloka in the morning, look towards their Fingers, Palm & the base of the hand and be thankful to Bhagawati Lakshmi, Vidyadatri Saraswati & Sri Govind and their day with Zeal & Enthusiasm!
