Step 1: Identify your Key Elements
- Find the top spending audiences, across all campaigns
- Single out the top 2-3 by part of funnel, with the best performance
- Find the top spending ads, within the those audiences
- Single out the top 2-3 by audience, with the best performance
Step 2: Consolidate into a New Campaign
- Duplicate the best audiences from Step 1 into 1 campaign (using POST IDs)
- Put the best performing ads from each audience into each ad set
Step 3: Budget and Optimization
- Use ABO for each Ad Set (to start, we will move to CBO once evaluation of each audience is finalized
- Optimize for 1day Click and for the KPI Event (ie: Purchase, not Add to Cart)
*Control Campaign Launch Lifecycle*
- Start Small
- Scale Up
- Simplify
Step 1: Start Small
- Building a Control Campaign is a test in itself, we don’t more than we can lose in tests
Step 2: Scale Up, by ”Stealing Spend” from other Campaigns/Ad Sets
- When Control Campaign elements consistently outperform non- Control Campaign counterparts, add to the budget of the Control Campaign, and remove it from the lesser performing counterpart
Step 3: Simplify Your Account
- When the Control Campaign elements have stolen enough budget to render their counter-part’s obsolete, pause the counter-part.

Control Ads * Control Audiences. These are the core of how we can establish testing and reduce workload while increasing stabilized ultimately scale. Without these, we will inevitably scale our results by workload and reach diminishing returns that are harder to maintain.

Facebook at its core, is a Machine Learning platform.
If it can learn, we have to focus on teaching it!
Facebook is a system to collect eyeballs for profit
The more places we spend money, the less data we are giving the machine to learn how to perform any one desired action. Centralizing ad spend is the mechanism we use to make Facebook smarter.
1. Taxes - to be fair, most states should tax more... the VAST majority of states run at a massive loss and the needs of places like Cali suffer, by having to address these needs
I should be taxed more, and folks in Texas/Florida should be taxed WAY more
2. Homelessness is a real issue, and the solution is a very diverse and complicated one... I'll give the Gov a C+ here, sadly, the other candidates at best get a D on this issue
How do you get to 1 Million dollar spend a year around 1 Facebook campaign that can then take less than 1 hour a day so that you can actually spend the rest of your time and energy focusing on real results with business principles that are going to create real change
