Liz Cheney just admitted that she was wrong - and then she denounced transgender discrimination.
But don’t let that change your opinion of Cheney.

She’s still “pro life,” wants to repeal the ACA, and supports waterboarding detainees, saying that it’s not torture.
I feel like I should add that Liz Cheney voted against the Equality Act like 7 months ago. She voted against the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, and she voted to acquit Trump.

I think she also voted against stimulus checks.
At the same time, I really really want to encourage people to say those three magical words.

“I was wrong.”

Saying that publicly is not nothing. I will leave it at that.

This thread outlines part of the reason that I simply don’t believe the GOP can be “saved.” The institution itself has been captured and infiltrated. There is no one who can stand up to it, even if they wanted to.

This is why we have to undo the party’s structural advantages.
Countering structural advantages:

-Outlaw the dark money that is anonymously funding it
-Ban partisan gerrymandering
-Counter GOP state laws enshrining their power/control
-Expand SCOTUS & expose its corruption
-Outreach to middle of the road voters, to explain what is going on
Most of these things are already addressed in Dem legislation - like the For the People Act.

But Dem “moderates” are slow walking these initiatives, and blocking us from using tools like filibuster reform that would allow us to implement them.

Our focus must be on these & 2022.

On Dec. 7, Flynn Org operative Ivan Raiklin took credit for creating and disseminating this plan.

This hasn’t received nearly enough attention.

Look up Smedley Butler, and imagine if he had been a traitor.
Read about Smedley Butler - the patriotic General who thwarted and exposed the “Business Plot.”

Then imagine a scenario where Michael Flynn had been in his place instead.
In a July, 2020 appearance on OAN, Raiklin had previously been introduced as a “friend of the Flynn family.”

Pay close attention to what he is saying here, in this Dec 7 interview.
