@WinterOakPress This won't work well on Twitter, but I'll try. I have also addressed it in many of my essays. Here goes ...
@WinterOakPress (1) capitalism is essentially (not exclusively) a value-decoding machine. It decodes despotic values, and replaces them with a single value ... exchange value, transforming society into a marketplace.
@WinterOakPress (2) capitalism freed us from the despotism of kings, the church, aristocracies, etc., by decoding these despotic values. So, great, that kind of despotism was no fun at all. Problem is, capitalism is a machine. It doesn't know when to stop. So it keeps decoding values ...
@WinterOakPress (3) another problem, most people don't like living in a marketplace, devoid of real values, where everything and everyone is a de facto commodity. So they react. They try to restrict, control, or abolish capitalism ...
@WinterOakPress (4) socialists/communists do it their way, fascists do it their way, but both are attempts to reimpose despotic values on society. Capitalism will not tolerate either. It recognizes one value, exchange value, period. All other values must be decoded. And ...
@WinterOakPress (5) Here we are. "Communism" failed. Fascism failed. Our world is dominated by a single globally hegemonic ideology/system, global capitalism. It's a new creature and we haven't begun to understand it. References to 20th-century "communism" and "fascism" don't help because ...
@WinterOakPress (6) both are nostalgias ... attempts to prevent global capitalism from arriving at the place it already is, i.e., global hegemony ... which is why GloboCap is going totalitarian. When a system no longer has external adversaries, it turns its attention to the adversaries within.
@WinterOakPress (7) One last note: "despotic values" sounds negative, but it essentially means values imposed on society by people's will, rather than the market. That will can be socialist, fascist, religious, whatever. The question is, who/what determines society's values (i.e., reality)?

Beware of people who don't know (or who pretend not to know) the difference between supranational global capitalist totalitarianism and simple social democracy. The "landlords" that are buying and destroying Berlin are GloboCap firms like Vanguard, BlackRock, et al.
This is happening in cities and towns all over the world. Homeowners, individual landlords, small businesses are being bankrupted by the "pandemic." Then GloboCap vultures like Vanguard, BlackRock, et al. (i.e., not "the Commies") buy their properties, jack up the rents, etc.
Germany has been a "renting culture" for hundreds of years. Individual landlords and tenants were fine with this structure. It was only when GloboCap vultures like Vanguard/BlackRock started "investing" in Berlin that rents skyrocketed and neighborhoods started dying.
Germany has banned demonstrations against the new official ideology, the "New Normal." Other demos, like the Christopher Street Day demo (below), a week ago, are allowed. The outlawing of political opposition is a hallmark of totalitiarian systems. (1) dw.com/en/covid-berli…
In Australia, the military has been deployed to enforce compliance with government decrees, and the official ideology (the "New Normal"). It is de facto martial law. This is another hallmark of totalitarian systems. (2) bbc.com/news/world-aus…
In France, restaurant and other business owners who serve or sell to "the Unvaccinated" will be imprisoned. Another classic hallmark of totalitarian systems. (3) theguardian.com/society/2021/j…
Here's a crazy idea. How about you guys with extremely large audiences @ggreenwald, @mtaibbi, @aaronjmate, speak up loudly and unequivocally in opposition to the demonization of "the Unvaccinated." You don't have to "deny the virus." Focus on the fascistic mob mentality.
Seriously, @aaronjmate, @ggreenwald, @mtaibbi, you see the fascistic mob mentality that is being fomented. You can continue to believe the official Covid narrative, though it's as flimsy as Russiagate was. Just speak out against segregation/persecution of "the Unvaccinated."
Seriously, I -- and this is CJ, not the Consent Factory's imaginary Twitter Operator speaking -- like you guys, @aaronjmate, @ggreenwald, @mtaibbi. I'm not trying to shit at you. I'm asking for your help. Your voices count. It matters right now.
Update from New Normal Germany - Berlin police ban the scheduled August 1 protest demanding the end of unlawful "emergency measures" and the return of our constitutional and human rights. And here's a photo of the Christopher Street Day demo in Berlin 4 days ago.
"The Berlin police had to forbid the demos in question after assessing all the circumstances and findings, after the extensive experience with these protest movements and after weighing up all interests, especially the high value of freedom of assembly," the statement said.
"One of the hallmarks of totalitarian systems is the criminalization of dissent. Not just the stigmatization of dissent ... but the formal criminalization of dissent, and any other type of opposition to the official ideology of the system." (May 2021) consentfactory.org/2021/05/03/the…
We realize this is Twitter, but, if you want to prevent the New Normal from becoming our permanent reality, try to set aside the usual shitting-on-people-because-they-are-wrong thing, and focus on strategy. We need loud voices taking apart the official narrative. (1)
Yes, it's frustrating to those of us who have been fighting the roll-out of the New Normal for 17 months, while they have not, but what is more important ... proving we were right or disrupting the implementation of the totalitarian social system that is happening, right now? (2)
Prominent voices like @ggreenwald and @mtaibbi are beginning to feel like they can criticize certain features of the official New Normal narrative. Decide how you want to respond. Do you want to encourage more of that, or shit on them for not going all the way? (3)
