Kaeya walks into a large bustling tavern at midnight, it’s fulled with all sorts of adventurers and civilians. Bards performing on the small stage in the center of the dining area. People clinking their drinks and

laughing loudly in their respected tables. As Kaeya walks by he makes a beeline towards the barkeep. People whisper and gasp quietly to themselves as the prince from another nation walks by them.

Kaeya isn’t dressed as flamboyant as he normally does, the only thing that stands

out is his coat that’s draped around his shoulders. The top of the coat has a thick layer of white fur that fades to a deep navy blue.

The footfalls of someone approaching catches Diluc’s attention but he doesn’t acknowledge whoever this is right away as he’s busy making a

drink for an important patron. The red head’s ponytail swishes in the air as he’s moving back and forth grabbing various items for the drink he’s preparing. The warm light reflecting on Diluc’s hair gives it a bit of a golden glow.

“Look at the body on him. “ A comment is said

by someone sitting at the bar earning a silent glare from Diluc. As Diluc looks away to pour the drink he hears a loud thud on the counter where the man is seated. He doesn’t turn to look, he’s sure he knows what’s happened.

“ Whoops, “ A silky voice says in a mischievous tone

“ My hand slipped. “
The man stands, panicked and running out the tavern holding his nose. Kaeya sits at the now open seat with an arm leaning on the counter, his eye focused entirely on Diluc.
Diluc slides the drink to the ginger seated next to Kaeya.
Diluc’s eyes meet Kaeya

“ Hello there, love~ “ Kaeya hums.
“ Don’t call me that. “ Diluc hisses at him, eyebrows furrowed.
“ Oh, but we’re a pair? “
“ Only on paper, I have no interest in someone like you. “ Diluc announces.
Kaeya grins “ Not yet. “
“ Tch. What do you want? “ Diluc crosses his arms.

He notices the small puddle of blood on the counter from the man earlier.
“ You just got here and you’re already making a mess. “ Diluc complains as he cleans the liquid with a rag.
“ It isn’t my fault he can’t control his mouth, he’s lucky I’m in a good mood. “

Kaeya says staring off in the direction he seen the man headed. His attention is back to Diluc when he smells the omega near him as he’s cleaning the counter. He stares at Diluc for a moment before speaking again.
“ You know why I’m here, sweetheart. There’s no need to be shy

about it. “
“ Shy? Shy about what? I already told you I’m not going to mate with you. Stop showing up in my tavern and trying whatever you’re thinking. I already gave you an answer you deaf dog. “ Diluc turns away and goes back to making drinks.

“ Wow, “ The ginger says with a

laugh. “ That’s who you have to get with? “
“ Oh, Ajax. I didn’t notice you there long time no see! And yeah, we’re supposed to be mated by now but every time I show my face he spits at me. “
“ That’s rough. Of all the omegas you could’ve been with.. You were paired with the

dragon. “ He chuckles to himself and sips on his liquor.
“ Right? “ Kaeya agrees with his eye trained on Diluc. “ But I kinda like that he gives me a fight, it’s cute. “

“ Yea? Well good luck, you’ll need it chasing after someone like him. “

Time skip a year later

Diluc lays amongst silk garments and used fluffy warm clothing. He nestles himself in the center of his large bed. A low, quiet purr comforts him as he rubs on his small swollen stomach. His pupils dilated as he’s in his cuddly mode. However he

is quickly snapped out of it when he hears the door open. He sits up from the pile and watches the door, on guard if it’s an intruder.

He sees his blue haired mate taking his coat off and walking to their closet to put it away.
“ No! “ Diluc shouts, causing Kaeya to freeze in

his steps.
“ What is it sunshine? “ Kaeya asks sounding a little concerned.
Diluc carefully gets off the bed to take the coat from him and places it in the nest. Diluc takes a few moments of rearranging the nest to make it perfect again now that a new item is added.

Kaeya watches Diluc rebuild the nest and asks if he needs help.
“ No, I don’t NEED help. I can do it myself, hmph. “ Diluc responds grumpily.
“ You know what I mean sweetheart. “ Kaeya whispers and kisses Diluc’s cheek.
“ Fine. Put this over there. “ Diluc points to the top of

the nest as he hands Kaeya the coat. His face turning red within seconds of becoming flustered. Kaeya smiles hearing Diluc’s tone turn from rude to whiny. After he’s done what he’s asked he joins his omega on the bed. They both lay tangled in each other’s arms. Kaeya scenting

Diluc daily while Diluc purrs feeling completely safe in his alpha’s presence.
“ Do you remember how much you didn’t want to be my mate? “ Kaeya asks moving the hair out of Diluc’s face.
“ It isn’t my fault that you were too aggressive with me. “ Diluc responds with a pout on

his face.
“ And how did it turn out in the end, hm? “ Kaeya smiles wide waiting for Diluc to admit.
“ I still hate you. “ Diluc attempts to sound bitter and failing.
“ I love you too~ “ Kaeya laughs then kissing Diluc.
