There is nothing wrong with being foolish but it is wrong to die a fool. When you hear some men talk or read something they wrote, you will marvel at their depth of wisdom but they were once foolish men. They were once demonstrably foolish.
But as time went on, they learnt from their mistakes and decided to make amends. They were men who learnt from their experience. That is why I love Paul the Apostle’s writings.
I show you a mystery, there is no wise man or wise woman anywhere.
We all have an element of foolishness in us. What you have are men and women who learnt from their negative experience but many of them will not share their experience with you. Many African leaders are like that. They will talk and behave as if they have always been wise.
They put immense pressure to be wise on the upcoming generation.
So, learn from your bad experience. if you don’t learn from your past experience, you will forever be a fool. And if you have ever been called foolish or you called yourself one, clap for yourself.
You are in good company. You will be celebrated as the wise one tomorrow but only if you learnt from your mistakes.
You must admit that you made mistakes. You must admit that you behaved or acted foolishly. You should then develop yourself, make the necessary corrections and
you will be deemed a wise man. The net gain from a previous foolishness is that you make disciples from present fools who will become wise men tomorrow but make sure you share your experience with them.
The weakness of most of the so-called wise men in our world today is that they never shared their failings or their past foolishness. They pretended as if they never made mistakes and I am skeptical of people like that. Foolishness was demonstrated by Adam and Eve.
We are their offspring but Christ came to redeem us from all forms of foolishness. Receive grace to be wise today.
Covid-19 came and did a lot of damage to health, families, ministries, businesses, economy and the church. I do not believe the church around the world have been through so much chaos like the last two years in my lifetime.
Many have lost their faith and have become lukewarm. Many have become rebellious.
We were doing church online and via ZOOM but now that the pandemic is ending, many have failed to return to their respective churches.
They are doing church at home and some have declared church independence. That is where the danger lies.
Church as I know it is a place of refuge. It is a place of building relationships. It is a place where many meet the men or women of their dream.
As a preacher, I started out and I was always condemning and criticizing church members and prospective Christians. It was a great weakness and I wish I knew what I know now.
Just as you don’t get the best out of your children by criticizing them, I have realized that our church members are our spiritual children. You don’t get the best out of them by condemning or criticizing them. Prospective Christians are the same.
I want to ask you, this hellfire loaded and condemnatory messages you are always posting, would you do that to your biological children? Obviously you will not do that. You need to take a leaf from me.
In this article, I want to highlight that the devil ties destiny down. I have seen it all my life. You have only one life. You don’t have all the time. You age daily. Strength wanes, beauty fades and daily you get
closer to your maker. One fact of life is: WE ALL HAVE PROBLEMS.
Satan comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. One of his strategies is using what I call holding strategies. He puts a problem in someone’s life and that occupies their time and life for a lifetime: bareness,
sickness, disease, health condition, lack of husband or wife, lack of education or immigration problems. For example, many people wasted at least 10 to 20 years of their lives waiting for their immigration problem to be solved. During that time, they achieved nothing.
If you want to reach the top, improve on relationships with the good, the bad and the ugly. Don’t be nasty. Some of the people that are good today can become ugly. Your best friend today can become your worst enemy tomorrow and vice-versa.
The bad and the ugly of today can become very good tomorrow. So, be careful. Don’t fight to die. Don’t fight to destroy. You may have to live or work again with the person you tried so hard to destroy. Don’t burn bridges. Be professional.
Sergio Ramos was the captain of Real Madrid for many years and Lionel Messi was the captain of Barcelona both in Spain. They never used to like each other. Mysteriously, they left their respective clubs and found themselves at PSG in France barely weeks from each other
I have tried my best to be a good man, a good husband, , a good father, a good pastor, a good leader and a good lawyer. Yet, I find that I am still not good enough but one thing gives me confidence. I cannot kill myself.
I know I have issues in my life but from attending to fellow pastors, law colleagues, church members and clients for over 20 years, they also have issues despite trying their best.
So, I am confident that God is not against me. He is also not against you.
We are all in the same boat. Don’t let anyone deceive you with nice makeup and kinky dressings. Don’t let anyone deceive you by speaking with a posh accent. Don’t even look at those beautiful pictures on Social Media. Behind the mascara is the masquerade.
As professionals, we want to be the best and in attempt to do that, many of us become unhealthy. We work long hours, feed on junk foods, take unhealthy drinks, have little or no rest and deprive ourselves of sleep.
We make the money but later, many suffer from poor health: Diabetes, heart disease, kidney issues, liver issues, depression, hypertension, high blood pressure, mental illness and the likes. Check the roots of all these, it is not usually genetic, natural or environmental.
It is a result of living a sedentary lifestyle or overworking without paying attention to one’s health. At the end of the day, all the monies and assets gathered is left for others to enjoy. You can stop the rot now!
Last year, I took ill with Covid-19 and I almost died.
