Are you actively buying NFTs?

Check out our video or Twitter thread about a totally new kind of NFT you should watch out for πŸ‘€ $ADA #cnft

Thread 1/8
Right now NFTs are mostly just JPEGs. Clearly people care about their JPEGs, but clearly there is also a huge demand for NFTs that are more than JPEGs with many projects trying to use the "metaverse" as an easy-to-understand way to provide this

Thread 2/8
However, NFTs can be much more than this. Projects like @urbit use NFTs for IDs on their platform which drives utility

For eUTXO blockchains like @cardano and @ergoplatformorg NFTs play an even more crucial role as explained in our blog post

Thread 3/8

medium.com/dcspark/every-…
With the eUTXO model, it's really easy to make NFTs that grant special rights in DeFi protocols with inherent value

You can even use our recently open-sourced Fracada dApp to split up these special rights and trade them on the open market!

Thread 4/8

github.com/dcSpark/fracada
To grow the Cardano ecosystem, there needs to be a repository of audited open source contracts that people can reference!

So we made Fracada enitrely open source to help boostrap this effort!

We hope the @CardanoStiftung can take this and help grow a library πŸ‘

Thread 5/8
Cardano launched smart contract support only 3 weeks ago

To help boostrap the ecosystem, we made Fracada entirely open source using the MIT license (anybody can use it!)

This will help build the kind of NFTs mentioned earlier in this thread πŸ‘

Thread 6/8
Fracada is one of the first non-IOHK entirely open source dApp for Cardano, and it helps build the kind of NFTs mentioned earlier in this thread!

We created this entirely for free for the community and we're excited to see what you build with it πŸ‘

Thread 7/8
dcSpark we truly believes in the technology

We spent time & money on Fracada even if it makes absolutely no money because the ecosystem deeply needs this kind of open project

Please follow us on Twitter & Discord to help us justify building more projects like thisπŸ™

Blockchains are a poor choice for solving p2p messaging, identity, and generalized computation. Urbit takes a completely different approach in its design which addresses these issues from the ground up.

Thread πŸ‘‡
medium.com/dcspark/why-ur…
Urbit provides the first sensible approach to decentralized messaging by throwing out the concept of a middleman storing or relaying your messages. Every message is p2p and fully encrypted end-to-end.
Your Urbit identity isn't merely a crypto keypair, but is instead a human readable name and avatar tied to an NFT that you own. This makes your Urbit truly yours, and provides an inherent anti-spam mechanism without requiring transaction fees for every message you send.
