Right now NFTs are mostly just JPEGs. Clearly people care about their JPEGs, but clearly there is also a huge demand for NFTs that are more than JPEGs with many projects trying to use the "metaverse" as an easy-to-understand way to provide this

However, NFTs can be much more than this. Projects like @urbit use NFTs for IDs on their platform which drives utility

For eUTXO blockchains like @cardano and @ergoplatformorg NFTs play an even more crucial role as explained in our blog post

With the eUTXO model, it's really easy to make NFTs that grant special rights in DeFi protocols with inherent value

You can even use our recently open-sourced Fracada dApp to split up these special rights and trade them on the open market!

To grow the Cardano ecosystem, there needs to be a repository of audited open source contracts that people can reference!

So we made Fracada enitrely open source to help boostrap this effort!

Cardano launched smart contract support only 3 weeks ago

To help boostrap the ecosystem, we made Fracada entirely open source using the MIT license (anybody can use it!)

This will help build the kind of NFTs mentioned earlier in this thread 👍
