1/ With BBC's #RidleyRoad starting on Sunday, I remind myself of Colin Jordan, Britain's would-be führer in the 1960s, overtly pro-Hitler & keen to continue Hitler's work. Photo shows his his wedding to Françoise Dior.
2/ This was in my teenage yeears. We hated Colin Jordan more than we feared him. He had a following & militaristic aspirations but the British people were notlooking for a Hitler of their own. Françoise changed hands, between Jordan & his deputy John Tyndall...
3/...marrying first one, then the other, they flitting back to the previous paramour. she wore a diamond swastika necklace. A Jewish taxi driver wrenched it from her neck & threw it in the gutter. He got charged with assault - but I digress...
4/ Jordan later was arrested for shoplifting 3 pairs of ladies' knickers. One can learn from this: one may own a diamond swastika & still be short of the bare essentials. With hindsight, Jordan is too ridiculous to have been dangerous or so it seems...
5/ Mosley was after all perhaps the more dangerous. He was a politician. After the war, in Windrush days, he & his fascists went after black immigrants rather than Jews. He was an opportunist & thought that was the way topower.
6/ Along came Enoch Powell, the new saviour of the racist right, even able to deny his racism, by means of pseudo rationales. We should not think that where we are now is worse than where we were then.
Racism & antisemitism are not respectable now as they were & people tend to reject the overt forms although, like covid, they have their virulent variant strains.END

Again with reference to Colin Jordan, I just found this book bloomsbury.com/uk/colin-jorda… by Paul Jackson & he refers to the diamond swastika episode as you will see on page 35...
It looks like a very thorough history of the postwar far right in the UK & I think the author may be @pnjackson101 here on Twitter. On page 35:
Gevalt. this is from a group called 'Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn'.
I know. You think I made it up, maybe got a paragraph from some early 20th century antisemitic pamphlet & transplanted it to make it look like a Corbynist said it. I wish! facebook.com/groups/2422594…
Adam in the lions' den. Note Brian Leonard asserting that Israel was involved in 9/11 & I think he means 7/7 in London when he says '9/7'. 'Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn' is the name of this group.
@CST_UK@antisemitism These groups are very bad places. Does Facebook exercise any control over the hate speech, the falsehoods & the conspiracy theories?
The received opinions in the groups which use Corbyn's name are found still in the Labour Party, informed by siteslike PMJC & many more. Hence an ill-informed & hate-raking motion on Israel got passed at #LabourConference2021.
1/ Am thinking still about JVL & the disconnect between their aspirations for, let's say justice for Palestinians & the fairly primitive antisemitism expressed daily by the supporters who comment on their posts.
2/ I know that friends who have taken issue with some quite wild allegations against Jews on the JVL page have been blocked by the JVL admins & their comments deleted, which indicates that the admins ar somewhat watchful about stuff posted on their page.
3/ The names of many who comment are familiar to me from other antisemitic sites: Glyn Ting & Mahmoud Tashvishi; Tom Shaw, the Michaels Morgan & Murray, no room to cite them all here.
