Always a nice touch: if you attend a major opening, Disney distributes exclusive theme park maps printed on thick art paper, well worth saving as a keepsake!
For a completely SOLD OUT day at Magic Kingdom, it’s fair to say that this is easily the busiest day since the 2020 reopening. But guests are queuing for merch and food, not rides. Most attractions are near walk-ons!
In 40+ years of visiting the #MagicKingdom, I have never seen so many system failures as what guests are experiencing today.
Especially confounding, as @WaltDisneyWorld now knows exactly their total guest count, their quick service orders, their ADR’s etc. well in advance.
And yet, wait times across the Magic Kingdom were blissful all day. Is that because today’s guests — the mega fans — are unusually interested in specialty merch & food?
Perhaps. It’s something to keep a close eye on over the coming days.
✨ The Cast Members are stepping up, and they are EAGER TO PLEASE. From hotel staff to custodial teams to entertainment & attractions (which was especially impressive). 1/
I saw dozens of guest interactions that went above and beyond mere customer service. After months of relatively low expectations due to limited numbers of guests, this Cast knew that it’s THE DAY OF THE SHOW, y’all, and I was often wowed. We shouldn’t take them for granted. 2/
The new Magic Kingdom nighttime spectacular #Enchantment is TERRIFIC. These shows aren’t meant to be experienced on a small screen.
The show is elegant & artful; it’s thrilling to see DIVERSE voices & stories finally step into the spotlight in a major way. 3/
