Take it from me, a former catholic, I would love nothing more than to hold the Vatican accountable for all their atrocities, of which there are many.

But this isn't one of them.

This is the Vatican site. It's IP address is Vatican City, The Holy See.

Vatican.va
The Vatican lists every site associated with it. Vatican.com is not one of them.

vatican.va/siti_va/index_…
This is the site that links to the sale of the child's drawing. It sets up tours of Italy and Naples for companies that partner with them. It's hosted in Austin, Texas and they will sell the domain if the price is high enough.

Vatican.com
They're making money off the Vatican name which, more power to them for monetizing it, but they're also the ones that are selling that drawing as well as the shoes that caused an uproar previously so, while not evil like the church, they're pretty damn disgusting.

Hesci Estonko. Hello, how are you? My name is Amy and I am enrolled Mvskoke, Semvnole, and daughter of Kaccvlke.
You are standing on stolen land. All of this is Indian Country. Today, I would like you to acknowledge the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory that you call the Gáuigú (Kiowa), Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Nʉmʉnʉʉ (Comanche), 𐓏𐒰𐓓𐒰𐓓𐒷 𐒼𐓂𐓊𐒻 𐓆𐒻𐒿𐒷 𐓀𐒰^𐓓𐒰^(Osage), and

Hi.

Most of you aren't wearing an orange shirt today and if you are it's probably not about the reeducation/death camps.

So what are you doing today to actively decolonize and support Indigenous Peoples?
If you can't answer that question because you haven't thought about it or aren't doing anything then all you did yesterday was put on a shirt. It was performative allyship and it's not worth the time it took for you to take it off the hanger.
Performative allyship is harmful as it uses our trauma to make you feel like you did something. Putting on a certain color shirt one day a year isn't going to solve the pervasive and systemic issues that are still harming us today.

#Stitt has a Communications Manager who is really bad at it: A Thread

This is @CarlyAtch. She wants everyone to know the truth about what happened at the #McGirt
Forum tonight.

The forum was for those impacted by McGirt. Not everyone impacted is a victim.

As a person ostensibly dealing with communication @CarlyAtch should know that a forum means you're not always going to hear what you want.
This was a forum, not a photo op. If you wanted the latter you shouldn't have advertised the former @CarlyAtch.
