Over 50% of the online retail market is owned by Amazon
That's trillions of dollars exchanging hands every day
Here are 3 ways you can get a piece of that with online arbitrage:
An example of Online Arbitrage:
1. Shop online for deals you can resell on Amazon for a profit 2. Ship those items to you 3. Repackage the products, list them on Amazon and send them to be shipped 4. You receive around 30% commission for each sale
Reasons why Amazon beats eBay:
-10x the market size
-More opportunity to make sales
-Less shipping and fulfillment headaches
How you can get started with Amazon:
1. Amazon FBA
How it works:
-You send your products to Amazon warehouses
-Amazon fulfils customer orders for you
-Amazon delivers the order to the customer
-Every 2 weeks, Amazon pays you
Over 50% of Amazon sales come from 3rd party sellers
Amazon are responsible for warehousing and shipping sellers product
FBA is a great opportunity because Amazon process all the fulfillments for you
You don’t lift a finger.
2. Amazon Merchant Fulfilment
It's similar to FBA, except to pack and ship items when orders come in.
Pros:
-Can be more profitable
-Control of your products
-You provide customer support
Cons:
-Time-consuming
-More labour intensive
-You have to ship /pack items
3. Amazon Dropshipping
Dropshipping is where you sell a physical product without dealing with inventory, shipping or customers.
When you make a sale on Amazon, you notify your dropshipper and they ship the product for you
You don’t touch a single product in the process.
Pros:
-Low Risk
-Less work
-Easy to start
Cons:
-Low profits
-Not a good long term strategy
-You don’t own the products, customers or marketplace!
Dropshipping is a nice place to start, but I don’t recommend it long term.
