A decade ago I visited Auschwitz-Birkenau with @HolocaustUK. It was one of the most profound experiences of my life. Standing next to those tracks in the bitter autumn cold, staring at the short walk to the gas chambers. HET make that experience available to thousands every year

@HolocaustUK Coincidentally I'm reading an article about the astonishing number of Central European Jewish phyisicsts and mathematicians born around 1900 - Einstein, Von Neumann, Teller, Szilard, Born, Kaldor etc... I find the thought of the talent lost in the Holocaust almost unbearable.
