This is just sick. I've run out of ways to describe how awful (and full of opinions masquerading as facts) the NYT & the political media has been...but this is just on another level. Utterly deranged.
Anddd she deleted. Can't wait to see that vaunted @nytpolitics social media guidelines in action. Any day now, they will do something. Just pretend she mocked a Republican. You can do it.

I mean...yeah. It was totally obvious at the time how dumb all the purity tests were. The majority of the base just had no interest in fighting small differences that would never come close to becoming reality, even more so b/c of Trump.
But you had a super vocal minority that went around screaming about how like supporting Michael Bennett was akin to genocide or w/e. And the awful political media and debate moderators ran with it bc nothing is more thrilling to them than seeing the Dems tear each other apart.
Just a total waste of time.

Also don't think it was a coincidence that the candidate who won was the one who was absolutely the least interested in all of these silly fights.

Aha, it's clear that this guy is a rogue Deep State saboteur. A principled peace-man like Trump (who I do not support) would never!
Lol even the very article Glem cites explicitly says that Trump was the one who ordered but he is so pathologically wedded to the Trump Innocent narrative, he has to create some laughable 'Deep State' conspiracy.
During the good ol' "Russia Hoax" days, Glem used to knock all the people who took 'thinly sourced' stories like this one as blind partisans who would believe anything.......and in arguing with one of the authors of this piece, no less. But this one is different (confirms biases)

Hmmm it's almost as if those of us who pointed out that this person was a nefarious (barely) crypto-RW were completely right and those who defended her Left Wing bonafides were faceplant-level wrong. Whodathunkit?
Absolutely nailed it.
Yet another narrative he went 100% head-first into and led the push for...that he was 100% wrong about. If only he was capable of feeling shame, I'm sure he'd be pretty embarrassed right now.

The reality is McConnell knows he can get away with the absolute most dangerous & shameful gaslighting behavior because the political media will spend 50x as much time talking about 'Dems in disarray' than calling him out for taking the economy hostage.
There is just absolutely no appetite among the 'objective' press corps for any sort of sustained coverage of GOP dangerous behavior, lest they get accused of being 'biased' (the worst thing in the world).
This is actually just insane.
