1763 is the highest daily case number ever recorded in Australia. Where is the peak? Good question bestie!

96,371 people made bookings for jabs yesterday! Some of these will be people moving their second dose Pfizer appointments forward given the time change - but it means we should start getting our double doses in quicker! Yay!

There’s 2000 Pfizer doses - 7000 AZ - and 27k Moderna jabs available in state hubs too.

Also- areas in our north and west have KILLED IT when it comes to getting jabbed. Wyndham is sitting at an 89% first dose rate and Hume 80.7% UN-BLOODY REAL!

And lockdown town is ending for Latrobe from midnight!!

Of the people who died - five were not vaxxed and two had one jab.

The suburbs with high cases numbers from the daily total are: Casula, Liverpool, Bankstown, Punchbowl, Ashcroft, Minto, Granville, Guildford and Jindabyne.

South west Sydney is a real focus area with cases rising there.

Also - they have a new Premier - Dominic Perrottet. He apparently wants to bring Freedom day - not called Freedom Day - forward! That’s one way to make new besties.

QUEENIES

Two new cases but the health people are not freaking out.

One is a three year old girl who is linked to the Sunnybank cluster and was in iso the whole time.

The other is 19 year old from Victoria (sozzy) but she was picked up on arrival - she had an exemption to travel and all the right bits and bobs. Everyone on her flight has to quarantine anyway so - no risk.

Remember the mystery case from yesterday? Well the fancy science test came back and her strain is looking matchy matchy with a strain from Vic (double sozzy).

The health people say the rise in cases they saw recently could be linked to restrictions easing but most of those cases were household contacts which is reassuring for them.

Mmmk full admission - I missed this yesterday:
Our NZ besties are no long chasing zero. Their PM made the declaration yesterday that they will not get to zero and will cautiously release restrictions while cases remain in the community.

This is scary. We know. It will all be ok though on the other side of the storm. Their political people will follow a three step plan which will allow outdoor gatherings - get kids back to early childhood education and finally restart retail and hospitality.

Mandatory jabs have arrived for mining and FIFO workers- it will cover about 100k people and they need their first jab by Dec 1.

IGA boy. They’ve found 17 primary close contacts and 35 casual contacts linked to him.
Sis, they range in locations from family, airport people, people on the plane and people at IGA.
There weren’t too many people in IGA though and any contact would’ve been quick.

When the socials went down guess which platform was the last one standing - TWITTER! Raaaaahahaha what a time to be alive! I thought I’d add some of my favourite tweets from the morning meltdown.

In 1940, two planes from the Royal Aust Air Force collided mid-air over Brocklesby NSW. When they hit one lost its engines but managed stabilise.

They interlocked and landed together safely. Remarkably, all four pilots survived the emergency landing.
