. @StevenLevy contends that Haugen’s leak is the worst news for Facebook since the Cambridge Analytica revelations.
And @sivavaid says “breaking up” Facebook won’t work. He cites the reunification of Standard Oil as ExxonMobil after it was trust-busted.

But he has another possible solution.
Worth remembering that Ellsberg’s leak of the Pentagon Papers didn’t reveal much that was new, or even change any minds. But it make Nixon insane & he aimed to crush Ellsberg & the media & that helped do him in.

So you want to start a campaign of persuading people, one human at a time, to get vaccinated.

Here are some tips.
First, see yourself as a missionary — but for something you firmly and whole-heartedly believe has improved your life and the lives of others, so not religion.
Second, the mindset is NOT “I am good and you are bad” or “I am right and you are wrong.”

That is not sales. THIS is sales.

The attitude is “I did this easy weirdly fun thing that made me happy, healthy, beautiful and free, and I would love for you to join me!! 🌈 “

Reading Woodward what comes through now is how singularly uneventful, fair, and by-the-book democratic the 2020 presidential election was. if one candidate hadn’t been bleating about his delusions & riling up Nazi militias it would have almost forgettable.
Biden takes his time announcing and makes mistakes. Sanders can’t draw Black voters. Harris, Warren, Klobuchar and Buttigieg bring good ideas. Clyburn goes Biden. Biden beats a loathed impeached incumbent.
There’s a quadrennial plodding American set piece going on on the main stage and then over there is a psychopath screaming about bugs on his arm to an adoring but small bog.

So many hot tossing 4ams I told myself that if we ever got Trump out and ever had a vaccine I would not be like one of those gloomy lottery winners and NOT be happy. I have more or less stuck to that.

77% of adults have now had at least one shot.
Please today tell the terrified you of last September that it—some of it—is really, really gonna be OK.
When you're hating the anti-vaxers and Joe Manchin really remember how much worse it could have been.
