1./ Is it time to regulate our deeply dysfunctionally woke regulators? We Brits love the myth our civil servants and quango-ettes are motivated by a superabundance of public service. Then came the @dawes_melanie debacle at @Ofcom. Remember this question from just 10 months ago?👇
2./ At a @DCMS hearing its head Melanie Dawes was questioned by @MrJohnNicolson who compared @ALLIANCELGB to racists and slammed the BBC for including it in "balanced discussions". @dawes_melanie agreed with Nicolson's assertion and opined that such balance was unfortunate.🙄
3./ Forget that @MrJohnNicolson is an MP so self-obsessed he took to Twitter only this week to try to bully BA because they didn't realise the world spins round his ego. He oversees social media but seems happy to use it publicly to try to sort out his holiday car insurance.🤷♂️👇 
4./ You might perhaps think Dame Melanie's bias can be forgiven since, as some sort of public spirited volunteer, she didn't have time to work out the nuances of Nicolson's animus against a gay rights group. But here's the thing: this particular Dame was on at least £315K pa.👇
5./ @Ofcom has ever since been slated for their assumption @stonewall is anything other than an extremist lobby group giving misleading advice on the Equality Act, thereby undermining the rights of women and LGB people. Seems tho our Melanie got her £315K just to nod approvingly.
6./ But don't despair. The media that @Ofcom claims to regulate have had a powerful impact on this pampered and embarassingly stupid regulator. They're on the run. First they dumped the liars at @stonewall whom they'd lavished taxpayers money on.👇bbc.co.uk/news/uk-583361…

8./ Gone is the pandering to the gay erasure lobby (who are now in highly entertaining meltdown). And instead of references to LGBT or LGBTQ or whatever bizarre acronym @CrispinBlunt now uses to describe the tribe he recently joined...there's nothing but raw old-fashioned LGB. 👇
9./ As its sensible author -no doubt earning a great deal less than Melanie ever was- says.. Ofcom's use of the acronym (actually it's an initialism) of LGB is based on the description of protected characteristics in the Equality Act (2010). Imagine that. Real facts being quoted.
10./ Could all those other arrogant public institutions who virtue signal while misinterpreting our laws now also be forced to do a Melanie? We can but hope. If and when they do shouldn't we slash top salaries, giving the head jobs to the likes of whoever wrote this Ofcom report?
