The son of a dairy farmer takes out a $20,000 loan and turns it into a fitness company making $22 million/year.

Here's the story👇
Nick Bare grew up in small-town Pennsylvania.

He received a full ROTC scholarship to go to college, but owed the Army four years of active duty upon graduating.

When he got to school, he needed money to buy pre-workout for the gym.

The issue was, he was broke...
To save money, Nick convinced his friends to throw $30 each on a bulk order of pre-workout ingredients.

Days later, the supplements arrived.

He opened the ingredients, whipped out a food scale, and started making a batch...
He scooped the batch into dozens of Ziploc bags and sold it to his friends.

They loved it.

Eventually, he was operating a full-blown business within his dorm room.

It was time to ramp things up...
Junior year, Nick connected with a bulk supplement manufacturer in California.

He took out a $20,000 loan and placed a production order.

Bare Performance Nutrition was born. Image
After placing the order, Nick called his dad to tell him he was going to sell $1,000,000 of supplements in his first year.

His dad responds "If it were THAT easy, everyone would do it."

His dad was right...

In the first year of business, BPN barely broke even.
In May of 2013, Nick graduated college and was shipped to Fort Benning, GA.

There, he completed Infantry Officer Basic Course, Ranger School, and Airborne School.

His experience at Ranger School would guide the trajectory of @BPN_Supplements for years to come... Image
US Army Ranger School usually takes 61 days to complete.

It took Nick 145 days...

He failed two phases in the process.

But, in July of 2014, Nick graduated.

He left Ranger School motivated to build BPN into a fitness empire...
After Ranger School, Nick was sent to Fort Hood, TX to be an Infantry Platoon Leader.

Meanwhile, BPN was at a crawl...

There was one thing that would take his business to the next level...
YouTube.

Nick started documenting his journey building BPN.

He quickly grew his channel to 20k subscribers.

Each time he posted a video, he'd make a few sales.

Then the Army sends him on a 9-month deployment to South Korea...

How was he going to run his business?
While in South Korea, Nick committed ALL his free time to @BPN_Supplements .

He set a goal to increase sales from $2k/month to $10k/month.

Nick continued to post videos on YouTube and prayed they would lead to more sales...
On June 21st, 2016, Nick posted a video titled "Day In the Life of an Infantry Platoon Leader"

It got 1,000,000+ views and generated 50,000 new subscribers.

Shortly after, @BPN_Supplements was making $10,000/month in revenue...
One month before leaving South Korea, Nick called his brother.

He told him about his success with BPN and asked if he wanted to help him build the business.

Shortly after the conversation, Nick's brother quit his corporate job and moved to Texas to help grow BPN. Image
In 2016, they generated $300k in revenue.

It was a big jump from $20,000 the year prior.

Things were going well, but BPN was in for its toughest challenge yet...
In 2017, BPN was plagued with cash-flow issues.

Stress was high.

Nick had to take huge doses of melatonin just to sleep.

But he kept thinking about what he learned in Ranger School...

Anything was possible.

By the end of 2017, BPN generated $1.7 million in revenue... Image
From there, BPN continued to grow...

In 2018, they invested in paid advertising.

They made $3.2 million.

In 2019, they launched a series of workout programs.

They made $5.6 million.

In 2020, they published a book titled 25 Hours a Day.

They made $22 million. Image
Nick didn't make $1,000,000 in his first year of business.

But his dad can no longer tell him that "If it were easy, everyone would do it."

Today, BPN has 25+ full-time employees driven by the motto, "GO ONE MORE".

Their goal is to grow BPN to a $100 million company.
My fitness journey has been quite the ride...

2014, I started lifting with my high school's football team.

I'd lift during gym class for an hour.

Then two hours after school.

I was strong, but there were guys lifting twice as much as me.

I needed to get stronger...
2016, I started bodybuilding with my brother.

We were mentored by Natural Mr. America

Bodybuilding got me really strong.

I stacked on strength gains, but my stamina suffered... Image
2019, I started @CrossFit.

It humbled me.

I could lift a ton of weight, but my cardio was non-existent.

Here's a photo of me dying during CrossFit Open Workout 19.1.

I needed to build up my endurance... Image
2020, I ran my first marathon.

I ran 100s of miles in training.

In the process, I built a great cardiovascular base I could take back to the CrossFit gym.

Bodybuilding, to @CrossFit, to running a marathon...

@BPN_Supplements has been there the whole way.

I'm not sure what my next fitness goal will be, but BPN will be there to fuel it. Image

In 1964, Albert Goldman referenced the term "Lindy Law."

Then, it had no meaning.

Now, it's recognized as one of the world's most powerful frameworks for predicting the future.

ps: 2nd example is my fav
The term "Lindy" is referring to Lindy's Deli in NYC.

Lindy, as it's known today, was first referenced in Albert Goldman's article, The New Republic.

He writes:

"The life expectancy of a television comedian is proportional to the total amount of his exposure on the medium."

You want more time to build and create.

The issue is, your time is limited.

You're already working 9-5, and you have other responsibilities.

4 months ago, I felt the same way.

THREAD: How to unlock time to build and create using a Simple 3-Step Formula for Financial Freedom.
4 months ago, I was stuck.

I was working on 4000 different projects, and I was totally burnt out.

I loved the projects I was working on, but I didn't have the time or energy to invest in growing them.

I needed a solution.
I love building things and learning new things.

I hated not having the time to build things.

I needed a way to create more time for myself.

So I began searching the internet.
