Irrespective of the fact that @bbclaurak allegedly went partying with the Tories and had a rap battle with Gove (nice level of impartiality there), she's just genuinely rubbish at her job.

#SackLauraK, she's not worth £229,000 a year

Exhibit A:
She should have been sacked or demoted after being accused of breaking electoral law.

Somehow she wasn't even though it shows an extreme level of incompetence that could have changed electoral results

#SackLauraK

Exhibit B: evolvepolitics.com/bbcs-laura-kue…
Let's not forget the fact she said the C word live on air... and she wasn't even referring to Jeremy Hunt and you can't blame her accent as she corrected herself so she knew what she said

#SackLauraK

Exhibit C: mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/bbc…
Let's not forget she spent "the whole of 2020" having unauthorised "chats" with Dominic Cummings so he could "give guidance to her on certain very big stories"

Don't remember any bombshell revelations from her though, do you?

#SackLauraK

Exhibit D:
And let us not forget the magnificent day that was the 14th September 2021 when even Nicki Minaj weighed in on how "dumb" Kusenssberg is

(screenshot just in case...)

Exhibit E:

#SackLauraK
Back in 2019, Facebook deleted a Tory election commercial that featured Kuenssberg and Huw Edwards.

What they said was taken out of context but, if I remember my media law correctly, as this was an advertisement, wouldn't they have had to have given permission for their (cont)
... Likeness to be used as it is promoting a Political party.

Even if she didn't she should have stopped the advert - I'm sure she knows who would have tipped her off. Again not very impartial is it (even if out of content)

#SackLauraK

Exhibit E:
Back in 2017 she made another gaffe when she said that during the election campaign the Tories had "Shaken babies"

She corrected herself to hands, but still 🤦‍♀️

#SackLauraK

Exhibit F:
When she was being announced as the first female Political Editor it was problematic with a tweet sent out and later deleted as it sounds like people hadn't even been informed of the decision

Not her fault but it paved the way for the future

Exhibit G: telegraph.co.uk/news/bbc/11756…
In January 2017 the BBC Trust ruled that a report in November 2015 by Kuenssberg broke the broadcaster's impartiality and accuracy guidelines over the way she represented an interview with Jeremy Corbyn

#SackLauraK

Exhibit H: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Kue…
Kuenssberg incorrectly tweeted (and then deleted) that a Labour activist had punched a Conservative Party advisor

Of course, the BBC found she had done nothing wrong and had *fact checked* the story

#SackLauraK

Exhbit I: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Kue…
In May'20 during Cummings "eyesightgate trip" Kuenssberg tweeted several statements from an anonymous source stating the trip wasn't illegal

We know that Laura and Cummings were in contact during that period - not impartial again

#SackLauraK

Exhibit J: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Kue…
From the Wikipedia article: Many suspected that the anonymous source was Cummings himself, which led to allegations that Kuenssberg was defending, or at least uncritically repeating, his side of the story. This led to a significant volume of complaints to the BBC, (cont)...
who defended Kuenssberg's actions. In May 2021, Dominic Cummings confirmed to a Parliamentary committee that he "set the record straight" with briefings to Kuenssberg (see Exhibit D)

#SackLauraK
In November 2020, some economists criticized Kuenssberg's assessment of Rishi Sunak's economic statement suggesting she lacked understanding of economics.

Why is she commenting on Economics? She is not the economics editor? An overstepping of her role, surely?

#SackLauraK
Now, I probably could go on and find many more examples of gaffes and errors of judgement that she has committed - after all, she's been on our screens since the early 2000s

And I am not having a dig because she is a woman either, I think it's fantastic having so many (cont)...
Female journalists on our screens - especially when so many of the politicians are men.

What does annoy me though is that she consistently fails to hold any member of the Tory party to account, lets the duck questions and fails to follow up on their (cont)...
mistakes, gaffes and downright lies.

You only have to look at how @KayBurley questions politicians on her show or how the presenters of @GMB or @BBCBreakfast prod and question to get to the root answer to see what decent journalism is (cont)...
Kuenssberg on the other had seems to delight in cosying up to the establishment and while she may get better access, she certainly doesn't report on any actual hard hitting stories coming out of @10DowningStreet

I cannot remember the last time she had (cont)...
@10DowningStreet a Tory politician on the ropes and held them to any serious account.

You think of what happened recently - the PPE no tender scandal, Hancock and his Mistress, The removal of the £20 uplift, misogyny in the police force and parliament's failure to tackle it (cont)...
Where was she?

She is Political Editor-lite

We need a hard hitter to hold the current government to account and I am afraid that Kuenssberg just can't do it.

She's been around them too long, got too pally and now can't grass on her mates

#SackLauraK
Oh dear... #SackLauraK is up to number 5 on trending

I wonder if anyone at @BBCNews or @BBCPolitics actually care what the licence payers think?

As they have backed her time and time again (for some actions bordering on the illegal) I guess not

I for one won't be watching her
@BBCNews @BBCPolitics There's now triple the amount of #SackLauraK tweets (and roll in the #sacklaurakuenssberg tweets too) since we started just 3 hours ago

Keep it going folks!
@BBCNews @BBCPolitics For those that came here from the #SackLauraK or #sacklaurakuenssberg hashtags and have read the full thread (thank you!), you should read this complaint from @thefreepress2 organisation regarding comments made by Kuenssberg which the BBC are ignoring

the-free-press.co.uk/2021/08/04/com…
Oh dear.... #SackLauraK is building a head of steam
Here's another article showing that @bbclaurak is essentially the mouthpiece of the Tory party and is biased in their favour

Hat tip to @JayJay08752584 for the article link
