What no one talks about is: how stupidity of Nehru-to placate & massage ego of Rafi Ahmed Kidwai- killed :
1) well developed air transport sector -48 Dakotas used to crisscross India in 1948!
2) possibility of aircraft industry-that Tata/ Walchand wanted
3) Banking/Ins/Mining
AI nationalisation was the template that Nehru used to nationalise :
- Banking
- Insurance - life and general
- Mining

AI nationalisation came despite completely opposite recommendations of Justice Rajadhyaksha Committee report set up in Feb 1950
Govt of India, prior to setting up of the interim Govt, had, in 1943, cleared The Tymms plan to provide for the post-war development of aviation in India. But Abdur Rab Nishtar, communication minister from Muslim League in interim cabinet, rejected it…
Nishtar was from Muslim League and JRD always believed that he killed Air Transport sector because he knew that Pakistan will be formed and his policies will help India suffer. Indiscriminately high no of licences were issued leading to several liquidations in 1948
Tymms plan had provided for setting up of not more than 4 airlines; but by 1948 there were more than 10 operating in India. Constitution Assembly also debated about the status of aviation sector and it was decided to keep it out of Govt purview.
However disastrous policies of Nishtar led to collapse of aviation sector with several airlines going into liquidation between 1948 and 1952. It was Patel who refused nationalisation in response to a bill moved by Sardar Mangal Singh
Rajadhyaksha Committee also supported lesser no of players and was not in favour of nationalisation but Rafi Ahmed Kidwai and his machinations proved too powerful before personal friendship of Nehru with JRD.
Nehru fondness was Kidwai was for reasons other than politics and it became a reason for disagreement between him and Patel as well after Patel complained to Nehru that Kidwai was collecting money from businessmen for the National Herald newspaper in return for official favours.
Nehru defended Kidwai and rejected Patel’s complaint. JRD, after learning of this incident, realised that his chances vis-a-vis Kidwai doesn’t stand a chance when Nehru was willing to even sacrifice his relationship with Patel for Kidwai!
And the reason for their differences between Tata and Kidwai came in the form of Tata’s opposition to his Night Airmail plan to help reduce the prices. JRD refused to sign up for this scheme and Kidwai took that as a ganging up of airline companies…
Matter became so worse that heated debate in Parliament and outside it followed. Accusations and counter accusations were made and final nail in the coffin came after a JRDs light hearted comment wasn’t taken lightly by Kidwai!
Once Kidwai visited JRDs office to consult Dr Jal Patel, at Bombay House. JRD called Patel who told him that he has Kidwai with him. To JRDs Q, he told him that Kidwai has come for medical advice. JRD replied ‘Nothing trivial, I hope.- to JRDs luck, Patel narrated it to Kidwai
The disagreement kept growing but then Kidwai was replaced by Jagjivan Ram- who completed the Nehru’s mission nationalisation of @airindiain like a loyal and devout follower- so much so that JRD was heartbroken at being treated with utter disdain by Govt!
But such an fierce nationalist JRD was that despite being robbed of his own baby, he agreed to manage @airindia and did so for 3 decades without taking a penny from the Govt and this despite the fact that he used to devote more than 50% of his daily time managing AI!
But today @narendramodi Govt has managed to undo the historic wrong of Nehru- another Nehruvian castle built on dope of Nehruvian socialism stands demolished and @airindiain is back to where it always belonged - @TataCompanies and that too with complete transparency
It took GoI 68 years and a @narendramodi to return @airIndia to @TataCompanies - I wish JRD was alive today to see this moment - I wish Biju Patnaik was alive too, I wish GD Birla was alive as well - all of them were robbed of their hardwork by Nehru in 1953!
I am sure @PritishNandy @milindkhandekar @tavleen_singh @rupasubramanya and @virsanghvi are all going to have a party tonight
Said @narendramodi - “yes we had and we executed it in style today and trust us- we have a plan for #CongressMuktBharat as well and we will execute that as well! 😁😁😁
“Your Palace in the sky” has been taken over by Talace! 😁😁😁😁; congrats @TataCompanies and kudos to @narendramodi and his team which executed it today!

It is not the challenges on economic/external front, but use of methods & leveraging of elements inimical to Ind by anti-Modi forces, that worry me.

Opposition, in pursuance of its hate for NM, is ready to burn India;before that they played a dangerous game of fuelling pessimism
Knowing very well that PM Modi's biggest support is social media and the vociferous and vocal support he enjoys, they are using a few "up for sale" folks to raise the tempo on civilisational issues. It is for us to realise this game and not fall for their dirty tricks!
That civilisational issues have become mainstream is only because we have PM Modi at the helm of affairs of the country; also his very presence means that civilisational causes have been placed on an aspirational ladder of the resurgence-faith is one aspect but so is Hindu unity

A country of our size & complexities is no stranger to challenges/problems, raising its ugly head every now n then; but with @narendramodi’s arrival as PM,country finally got a leader, who people trust as someone capable of pulling the country out of trouble & set on right course!
Last 20 years of his tenure is replete without countless such examples when PM rose to the occasion and managed to deliver to people’s expectations. In this day and age of limited patience amidst sky high expectations, maintaining such trust for 20 years is no small achievement!
Another hallmark of PMs leadership over past 20 years has been his ability to steer & channelise people’s expectations into aspirations, thus giving us a large body of growing aspirations class. The equitable nature of development is ensuring better life for have-nots as well!

No matter what we tweet but some people use same line of arguments-303 seats etc etc.

Only if people stop being backseat drivers to a man who completed uninterrupted 20 yrs in public office-13 as CM and 7 as PM & has proved himself by his work achievements, integrity, hardwork!
Mocking, abusing, name calling by so called supporters is most painful. Since yesterday, I have been abused so much for saying that ex gratia announced by UP Govt is applicable to all. I spoke to one of senior members of Yogi Ji’s team n they confined it- yet abuses don’t stop!
State administration must have distributed cheques by now as it was being coordinated at CMO level. But what is bizarre is that abusers, relying on media, kept abusing for merely stating a fact. I can give back as good as I get but then need to maintain decorum!

Coal prices 🚀 📈
Natural Gas 🚀 📈

Electricity availability ↘️📉

Fast approaching winters in northern hemisphere 🛬

Europe, China ka “band bajna” is given!

Which other commodity to benefit?

bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
High prices of coal coupled with reduced availability of commodity has already led to unscheduled power cuts in China and prioritising it for home needs; coupled with this Xi’s clean up act is adding more pressure - factories r facing power outage too/ production is falling!
After Oil, Coal, LNG which commodity to run up- Steel, Aluminium?

But more than that, it is share prices of mining stocks; shipping companies that will start reflecting this change sooner or later - in India, u have GE Shipping and Coal India languishing at bottoms for long!

Chances are that most Indians must not have even heard of a Taliban commander and leader @mobeenkhan1231 - he has been making right noises recently for reasons that are not gonna please @OfficialDGISPR and @GovtofPakistan

Let us check why in this thread!
It was @mobeenkhan1231 of Afg Taliban who recently refused to accept the Durand Line, saying

"Afghanistan is our soil and the Durand Line has expired, the area up to Attock is ours & then international community needs to talk about this” - hello @OfficialDGISPR
On the issue of Osama, @mobeenkhan1231 of Taliban asked:

“why @WhiteHouse punished Afghanistan for hosting OBL? Why didn’t they attack Pakistan for sheltering Osama? Why @POTUS still supports Pak in every way but destroyed us”

From whatever is available until now. A cavalcade was moving and after few cars had passed, protestors came in and blocked the road….
One of the vehicles in the cavalcade - was shown as hitting the protestors which can be seen blocking the way after few cars had passed - from screengrab from same video one can see the windscreen of the thar is broken- encircled below
It is but natural for a driver, who was part of the cavalcade and whose Thar was hit,to panic especially when a mob blocks the way of a moving cavalcade - from the word go,no one is disrupting that people got mauled over but what wasn’t known until now was-that it was hit b4 tht
