There is no "viewpoint neutrality." We all have perspectives. And those parents don't really want that anyway. They wouldn't want us to teach the Nazi side of WWII, or al-Qaeda's perspective on 9/11. They just want to silence Black people. And all "liberal" perspectives (2)...
All education is political. When you hold up the founders as heroes, without discussing their deep flaws as enslavers or apologists for slavery, you take a perspective. And it's an offensive one (3)...
When you teach about Black people as if they had no history until enslavement, or indigenous people as if they had no history until white people discovered them, you take a perspective--an offensive one (4)...
When you teach "both sides" of the civil war you are not being neutral. You are suggesting that there is no truth. This assault on schools and learning is an assault on knowledge itself, on truth, led by people who wish to make children into unthinking robots (5)...
Teachers have to stand up...principals too. Stop being cowed by these people. FORCE them to fire you...force them to show their hand. If you quit and walk away they win. Force them to show the world how evil they are (END)
