First, here's the actual text at issue. It's a 400+ page book and this is the sum total of the "anal sex scene". Which if you actually read it is clearly not an anal sex scene.

Maybe Wokal figured that out on his own. It would explain why he deleted this tweet and abruptly shifted his argument.

The people claiming that this is about an "anal sex scene", sodomy, and pornography are off their rocker. I mean, just *read* the screenshot from the book. Jesus.

Wokal's argument, if you read his thread, is simple: Given the presumed biases of teachers, they cannot be trusted to teach or even stock in their library certain materials. Yes, the book may be appropriate for certain age groups, but we can't take the risk. Ban it. Ban it now.

And I would counter that this is a highly illiberal argument. It must be defeated.
