Day 49 #Tweet100
When I did #Ship30for30 back in March…

I was scared out of my mind 😬

👉 Had no idea what I was going to write about
👉 Thought anything I *did* write sounded stupid
👉 Avoided publishing my thoughts for YEARS
It’s not about how you start, it’s how you finish.
It was incredibly hard.

But I got through my 30 days of shipping.

And changed my life.

Here’s 5 ways to make the most of your #Ship30for30 journey 👇
1/ Remember your why.

You signed up for the Ship 30 for 30 challenge for a reason.

Don’t worry about anyone else’s goals, growth or engagement.

Work towards YOUR goals - whatever they are.
2/ Get through *at least* these 30 days.

Then you can reevaluate how you want to move forward.

I did all 30 days in my first cohort.

It was hard. But I did it.

And it changed my life.
Now, I don’t publish essays every single day.

But the training of #Ship30for30 is invaluable.

• It gave me confidence.
• Improved my voice.
• Taught me to write quickly & efficiently.

It’s made writing a book SO much easier!
3/ Don’t try to be perfect.

You’re going to publish some amazing essays.

That won’t get any engagement.

You’re going to publish some not-so-great essays that get fantastic engagement.
There are many factors to Twitter’s algorithm that no one really understands.

Just take it as it is.

Learn what you can about engagement and move forward.
4/ Practice writing, editing and publishing quickly & with constraints

These 30 days will get you through:
➡ Imposter syndrome
➡ Over-editing
➡ Perfectionism
➡ Hiding behind your fears
No one can talk you out of your fears and insecurities of publishing your writing.

You need to push through them.

👆 This is the secret to success 👆

Get through them and the sky's the limit.
5/ Get Involved

Join the #Ship30for30 community calls.

• Chat in breakout rooms.
• DM fellow shippers you enjoy.
• Set up 1-1 zoom calls.

Take this opportunity to connect!

These relationships with up-and-coming Creators are going to transform your life.
#Ship30for30 isn’t easy.

But it’s worth it.

✅ Do the work.
✅ Push through your fears.
✅ Publish on the days you don’t want to.

It’s only 30 days.

Later you can take breaks.

This cohort is for you to grind.

Your future self will thank you 🌿

My Twitter account grew by 2,488.12% in 204 days.

Here’s how 👇
My Twitter account was dead.

I had a handful of followers from 10+ years ago...
Back in March, I decided I need to start creating.

To be brave and share my ideas with the world.

… But I didn’t want to create on platforms where my millennial mom-friends hung out 😬

How I went from never publishing anything online (not even a blog post)...

To being half-way through drafting a book 👇
I'm writing a book.

At least, I'm trying to...

30 days to draft a quick book.

Today is day 13/30.

So far, I've missed 3 days of writing.

Until today, I was feeling confident… but now I'm not even sure if I'll end up with anything useable in the end.
But if Ship 30 has taught me anything...

It's this:

Don't give up.

Put in the reps.

Creating something that doesn't feel right anymore?

Here are 3 steps for creators who feel stuck and need to pivot 👇
I had a great idea.

(I’ve had many great ideas.)

But after a day or two of thinking it through…

Or a few weeks or months working on it, it didn’t feel right anymore.

It sucks.
I felt stupid.

Ashamed.

Embarrassed to add another thing to my “things that were great ideas but that ‘didn’t feel right’ so I didn’t do them” list.

Here’s how to get through it 👇
