Right kids that can’t read at grade level should be exposed to the opportunity to read more complex topics because why not?

Sometimes I think people just say things to be saying them.
A principal at a PG high school did this once. Everyone should take AP classes because anyone can do it and if they were simply exposed they would pass!

“Each year, Crossland produces roughly 300 graduates. In 1999, seven AP tests were given at the school. A decade later, there were almost 700.

“Ridiculous, isn’t it?” Thomas laughs.”
Result: Still, his students typically fail the AP exams. Only 3 percent of Crossland test-takers earned a passing grade last year of 3 or better on the 5-point scale.

Bystanders began yelling at Reardon, saying he didn't have to use his gun.

"She had a knife. She just went at her," Reardon says.

"She's a f***ing kid, man! Damn, are you stupid?" a man standing nearby replies.
A glimpse into a sick culture. If they’re just kids why didn’t this man or other bystanders stop them?
Also can’t help but contrast the differences in reaction in this shooting and the case in SC where the white guy berates the black kid for harassing neighbors.

Arguments that anti-police, pro-BLM Twitter made this month:

- they’re only teenage girls they didn’t mean to kill the Uber driver while car jacking him.

“When Covid cases were rising in the U.S., the news coverage emphasized the increase. When cases were falling, the coverage instead focused on those places where cases were rising. And when vaccine research began showing positive results, the coverage downplayed it,...”
The coverage by U.S. publications with a national audience has been much more negative than coverage by any other source that the researchers analyzed, including scientific journals, major international publications and regional U.S. media.

When Michael Hicks and his daughter chalked “Black Lives Matter” on the pavement outside their suburban home, someone scrubbed it away within hours. nytimes.com/2020/09/23/us/…
“They’re all young kids and they’re Black, they’re just troublemakers,” David Sorenson, a white suburban voter, said of the protesters,
A voter named Rachel, whose one-story house flew a QAnon flag from a pole, said at her front door that the president was trying to make a difference. “It’s just he’s up against so much, so much opposition,” she said.
