A bunch of clueless "the patriarchy is evil" types are writing about the "unfairness" of older men being able to attract younger women whereas the opposite pattern is not nearly as common. This has nothing to do with "patriarchal unfairness" and everything to do with this little
thing known as biological realities rooted in sexual dimorphism of human mating. In the same way that a twenty-year-old male has more limited mating opportunities as compared to a twenty-year-old female, the pattern reverses as we pass through our life stages. There is nothing
conspiratorial about it. There is nothing evil about it. There is nothing patriarchal and sexist about it. The mating trajectories of the two sexes is not the same across the life cycle stages. This does not mean that older women don't have "the right" to sleep with the 18-
year-old cabana boy with the sexy body but he may not return the fantasy favour. He is unlikely to say "Gee, that 75-year-old woman has her life together. She is sexy via her accomplishments. Forget about that twenty-two-year old beautiful model over there. I want me some
Betty White." Nature does not care about your hurt feelings. Hundreds of millions of sexually frustrated young men twiddle their thumbs in enforced celibacy. That's not because of the matriarchy. It's called life. Live in reality not in victimhood.
