When Ecuador's socialist President Rafael Correa was in power, there was constant propaganda absurdly claiming he "trapped the nation in Chinese debt"

But in just 4 years of US-backed IMF-loving neoliberals in power, they hugely expanded the debt-to-GDP ratio from 26.6% to 68.9%
Under socialist President Correa, Ecuador built new high-tech infrastructure, rapidly developing the country with the help of China

The corrupt authoritarian right-wing US puppets in power in the past 4 years have DE-developed Ecuador, trapping it in IMF debt, robbing its assets
The US has turned Ecuador into the Latin American front lines of its new cold war on China.

Washington claimed it would "help" Ecuador pay off its debt to China, while in reality nearly tripling its debt in 4 years, but now with US debt instead of Chinese
asiatimes.com/2021/01/us-res…
The US claimed it wanted to "help" Ecuador pay its (smaller) debt to China, in return for forcing out Chinese telecommunications firms

So the US "helped" by giving a loan that trapped Ecuador in MORE debt

Always beware when the US says it wants to "help" asiatimes.com/2021/01/us-res…

All this shows is propaganda works. The US is not a "democracy"; it's an authoritarian capitalist regime in which the billionaire-controlled media spreads disinformation to manufacture consent for US imperial aggression.

The US is the one provoking a war over Taiwan, not China
The US has been trying to provoke a war with China over Taiwan, by encouraging secessionists, selling them tons of weapons, constantly sending warships through

The US wants to turn Taiwan into a colony with a giant military base, like the US had (with nuclear weapons) until 1979
The US had a military base in Taiwan for over 20 years. From the 1950s until the 1970s the US stored nuclear weapons there, which were pointed at China

The warmongers in the US gov't even considered nuking the mainland to hold on to the imperial beachhead

What a coincidence that there are zero US politicians included in the "Pandora Papers" list of offshore bank accounts. I guess they're all pure and free from corruption!

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that the so-called "leak" was likely a hack by US spy agencies
The group behind the Pandora Papers, ICIJ, which left out all US politicians, is funded by:
-CIA front Ford Foundation
-NATO member Norway
-Open Society of billionaire Soros, longtime CIA asset
-Big Tech oligarch Omidyar, close ally of US regime-change ops

Also works with Amazon
The "journalists" in Nicaragua that billionaire-funded @ICIJorg worked with on the Pandora Papers are all US govt-funded anti-Sandinista activists

Carlos Fernando Chamorro is from the richest oligarch family. His right-wing propaganda rag Confidencial is funded by the CIA's NED

At the UN, Nicaragua said the pandemic exposes "the irrational & oppressive system of capitalist exploitation"

Rich imperialist countries hoard vaccines while building more weapons. "It's part of the heartless creation of savage capitalism, an insatiable desire for accumulation"
Nicaragua condemned the constant US meddling in its internal affairs, noting that the imperial attacks hinder its fight against poverty, "which is the world's cruelest pandemic."

"It is not the US empire that elects the government of Nicaragua; it is the Nicaraguan people."
At the UN, Nicaragua condemned the illegal, "savage" sanctions the US and EU have imposed worldwide.

"In times of pandemic, these measures become a crime against humanity."

Nicaragua reaffirmed "our solidarity with the more than 2 billion people who suffer from these sanctions"

At the UN, Syria condemned the US for taking "advantage of the pandemic to scale up their unilateral coercive economic measures against those countries and people who differ with them, despite the catastrophic humanitarian impact of such measures"
The UN's top expert on unilateral coercive measures warned that US/EU “sanctions are bringing suffering and death in countries like Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen”

US sanctions are "killing people and depriving them of fundamental rights"
news.un.org/en/story/2020/…
Referencing the US and Turkish military occupations of its territory, Syria stressed "any foreign presence on Syrian soil without the consent of the Syrian government is illegal, and constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the UN charter"

The coup-plotting criminals and murderers who run the CIA discussed plans to kill journalist Julian Assange when he was trapped in Ecuador's embassy in London

Discussions of kidnapping or killing Assange occurred “at the highest levels” of the Trump admin news.yahoo.com/kidnapping-ass…
Former CIA Director turned Secretary of State Mike Pompeo led the murderous campaign against Julian Assange

"WikiLeaks was [his] complete obsession." He told the CIA "nothing's off limits"

This is important because Pompeo will likely be a major Republican presidential candidate ImageImageImageImage
The assassins at the CIA not only discussed plans to murder journalist Julian Assange, but also "other Europe-based @wikileaks members."

Conclusion: if you create a media outlet that exposes war crimes, the CIA may make plans to kill you Image

Peru's new leftist President Pedro Castillo used his first ever speech at the United Nations to call for a "social transformation" that guarantees not just civil and political rights, but also economic and social rights to healthcare, education, housing, and dignified work
At the UN, Peru's President Castillo insisted "health, education, water, and sanitation cannot be for-profit business. They are fundamental human rights that we must guarantee"

He also emphasized the need to eliminate extreme poverty and hunger, and reduce poverty and inequality
Notably, Peru's President Castillo clearly avoided international affairs in the UN speech, and did not comment on any conflicts in Latin America.

His government’s foreign policy has been inconsistent, and his anti-imperialist foreign minister was forced by the military to resign
