..Furthermore, as many already know, Spurs tactics revolve around the Kane-Son combo. If the Jimenez-Hwang combo continues to fire, there is no way Lage would be willing to bench either of them.
โฝ๏ธโs are ๐
Could this be the Jota replacement that Wolves fans been waiting for?
Lage also made some promising comments:
โHe can give us these kind of things, and I want these kind of things in our teamโ
โI think he has adapted to the Premier League. He is fit and fits our way to play because we need a player like himโ
โI think he is a top playerโ โผ๏ธโผ๏ธ
While Iโm certainly hyped..
For FPL managers, as bullish as I am on Hwang being a success story, I definetely urge you to proceed with caution.
Hwang struggled with his finishing in last week's IB world cup qualifier against Syria. Although he did get an assist.
In the first half, Hwang had 3 quality chances and 1 Big Chance that he missed from a couple yards out.
At only 25, Hwang is still developing and at 5.6M, you can't expect him to be ๐ Salah @FPLOsama@FPL_Salah ;)
I wish I could share the video, but as seen in the photos below, Hwang missed a glorious chance with a skied ball.
*that first touch trap was butter tho๐ง
To defend Hwang, he had flown all the way from the UK (10+ hour flight) and 1-2 days prep. Time zone difference, climate change, tiredness and because of the rain in Korea recently, the pitch was sub-par standard.
The important thing was that he was getting in those positions and his off-ball movement even with his fatigue was constant.
South Korea also lacks the quality of a PL team, so he should be generating more chances with Wolves.
*By the way, guess who scored the winning goal ๐
To Conclude (my personal thoughts):
At 5.6M Hwang could certainly be a player worth considering.
Giving us great value at his price with high upside and ceilingโฆ and a potential Jimenez replacement in our teamsโฆ
This thread (part 1 and 2) was quite lengthy so if I wanted to get more in depth, I would consider comparing him to other enablers such as Mbuemo, Gallagher, ESR and Jimenez as well - all dependent on each individuals teams and strategy.
In FPL, you have to make your own calculated and free decisions, so as much as Iโm feeling Hwang as a great option, there are many things each of you should consider.
With that being said, Iโm on wildcard this week and this is what Iโm 100% set on below, barring injury:
๐๐
Food for thought:
If Hwang works as a 10th/11th/12th man type enabler in your team.. he is a no brainer for me ๐ง
But if he is maybe your 6,7,8th important player in your team, I would also have my fair share of concerns!
The decision is yours ๐ฎ
South Korea does play a very strong Iran side shorty in a crucial away game WC qualifier.
I will be keeping a close eye on Hwang and Son in this match and will update the community with a brief summary tomorrow.
Both Son/Hwang traveled from:
UK -> South Korea -> Iran -> back to UK in a matter of 10 days.. So both will certainly be fatigued when they come back.
There is much more I can write on both ๐ฐ๐ท players, but I will leave it for next time.
Could not be more proud of this too:
I hope this was helpful to give some context on Hwang and I will continue to update the community with more threads regarding Hwang, Son and anything else FPL wise!
Thank you @lateriser12 for the kind shoutout once again.
Keeping being a legend.
Lastly, I was inspired last week by my FPL idol and friend in @FPL_Salah to bring in non other than #SonHeungMin and he returned with a marvelous performance.
Thank you to the community for the overwhelming support in the past 24 hours.
Iโm truly grateful and wanted to follow up on @lateriser12โs shout-out and support by offering my personal opinion on Hwang Hee Chan.
Due to the length, there is a part 2 you can find at the end!
Quick Plug: @FPLBrunoo and I co-host a twitter space show called "The Enabler Show" and I would encourage you to join us weekly for great FPL conversations with the community. We're just getting started and still learning as we go, so please be patient with us ๐
