Very cool things you can incorporate into a school lesson on Corsi/Rosenthal Boxes.…
This video is pretty great:
Kind of unrelated, but a great take-down of anti-maskers.
...pointing out the sheer complexity of aerosols.…

This is kind of huge.

Inhaled Dose Response. How much aerosol does a non-humate primate need to breathe to get infected?

This is big in two ways.

1️⃣ - the fact that CoVid is airborne. They breathed in SARS-COV-2, and developed CoVid.

2️⃣ - the less you inhale, the
less sick you get. This indicates even lesser masks help keep.
the less sick you get. So ANY kind of mask is better than no mask.

That's the most important part.

Fellow aerosol nerds- follow me.

Dead on.

He then recommends this brilliant satirical piece by @JHowardBrainMD.…

It's short, but I brought it up in a thread.

Let's close all pediatric cancer hospitals.

Allowing KNOWN CoVid positive people into a maternity Ward is a very bad idea.

You will get sued.

You will lose.
Your opening argument is a horrible one.

'It's been in place for a while, so because we've never been called on it, that makes it ok.'

You need to hire a PR person, because the optics on that alone?

Moving on. You care about the pregnant person Image
needing support, because it's just them right?

Let's bring in @CiannaLyon - two weeks from term, and TERRIFIED of your hospital system.

@kprather88 @akm5376 @CathNoakes - I don't remember seeing anyone talk about this.

Interesting little study linking the loss of smell that we all know comes with CoVid, to deposition of <5μm aerosols (fine) in the Olfactory Epithelium. Image
"we hypothesized that small concentrations of persistently airborne aerosols (those below 5μm) would be more prone to dispersing within the olfactory epithelium than the lower nasal airway. This selective olfactory dispersion of smaller-sized airborne particulate would
therefore provide a novel mechanism linking atypical olfactory dysfunction in COVID-19 with airborne transmission. "…

I'd like to invite you to go scilunking with me.

What is scilunking? It's spelunking within studies.

First cave we enter, Dr. Gurdasani's headlamp shows us that kids infect each other...and their parents.

This is a great thread! Read it, then come back for .... gold!
Her second tweet had this study. A genomic tracing study and confirmation of transmission within schools.…

But something in this cave caught the corner of my eye.

A furtive movement.

"most school-associated cases are acquired outside of school"

A cold wind blows from the depths of the cave.

Dare we?

"Hey, I was promised GOLD, not HOEG!"

You are right, let's go deeper.
