So Annapolis nuclear spy lady Diana Toebbe follows 29 accounts, and about a dozen are the fake, unaccountable alt/rogue US government accounts I was complaining about yesterday. 🤷‍♂️

And naturally, I got tag-teamed by fake USCIS and fake DHS (whom I did not tag), making a bunch of juvenile ad hominem attacks. Obviously the work of true patriots and not lunatic trolls.

@TwitterSafety @CISAgov y’all need to get a handle on this nonsense.

Oh, and fake Mt. Ranier just joined in on ad hominem, and fake NOAA blocked me yesterday merely for asking a question. This is some really stupid stuff.

And don’t forget the parade of troll accounts with 37 followers that brigaded to spam that post.

Sure, all these accounts have organic support that looks exactly the same and makes the same ad hominem attacks over and over. 💯

Anyway thanks, trolls, for signaling this is clearly some part of a set of info ops. Rare to get such positive bright-line radio signal these days. Usually y’all are more subtle, but I can play 2014 style too.

Obviously I reported this tweet from @alt_fda for harassment and targeted abuse. But you can too, if you think this sort of thing is unacceptable.

To those saying “what’s the harm? It’s fine,” this is the same naïveté that got us where we are today and it’s time to stop.

The fact is some of these accounts may be legit; many are not; some seem to be backed by a vicious botnet; all can be used to undermine the legit efforts of gov; all pose national security risks. Time to end the naive foolishness.
