💇A survey has announced that top of the list of "must haves" for today's retirees include a Netflix subscription and a decent hairdresser.
And guess what? That doesn’t sound unreasonable...

❓So how many of the following retirement status symbols do you have...?
1⃣Gym pass
With more leisure time, many claim a gym or golf club membership is essential.
As my sister pointed out: "That’s not just for the activities. I’m on my own and it’s been a great way to make friends in retirement"
❓Would you consider gym membership an essential part of retirement?
2⃣Two cars
🚗For the newly retired couple, one question seems to cause the most friction. Are two cars really essential, now we’re not going to work?
No - but sharing can be a fraught option
3⃣A dog of one's own
🐕Retirement is the time when many decide to get a dog. But which?
My advice is ditch the over-priced, handbag-sized accessory breeds and go to a rescue society
4⃣Proper holidays
✈️There’s no doubt that holidays could be considered a luxury in retirement because some would say you’re permanently on holiday once you’ve left the rat race.
The good news is retirees can take advantage of going off season and getting cheap deals
