Let’s talk about Genie+ Lightning Lane and the 120-minute rule.
If the next Genie+ LL time for a ride is 120+ minutes away, you are eligible to book a second LL attraction 120 minutes after it was booked. But what happens when you book a Genie+ LL before park opening? (thread)
The "120-minute rule" allows you to book a Genie+ LL for later in the day -- but if it's more than 120 minutes away, you don't have to wait to redeem that LL. You simply wait 120 minutes and can book another Genie+ LL.
Both MaxPass and FastPass+ had similar policies.
To be clear: Disney has confirmed the 120-minute rule for Genie+ LL -- but there is nothing that really addresses booking a Genie+ LL *prior to park opening.* With MaxPass, it wasn’t possible to book prior to park open - so this is a new wrinkle.
Many have speculated about “stacking” Genie+ LL reservations by booking your first ride at 7am, another at 9am, and another at 11am - and with EPCOT opening at 11am some days, you could have three Genie+ LL when the park opens.
But I'm now confident this won't be possible.
After going back through interviews during the 50th media event, I'm confident that when you book a Genie+ LL *prior to park open* -- the 120-minute rule will start from the park's opening time.
Here are some scenarios:
First -- booking a Genie+ LL *after park opening:*
MK opens at 8am. At 8am you book Splash Mountain for 2-3pm return time. At 10am (booked at 8am + 120 mins) you are able to book another Genie+ LL.
Note: Genie will display the exact time you can book your next Genie+ LL.
Second: Booking a Genie+ LL *before park opening:*
EPCOT opens at 10am. At 7am you book a Soarin' Genie+ LL for 2-3 pm. The 120-minute clock starts at 10am and NOT 7am -- which means you would be able to book your next Genie+ LL at 12pm.
Third: Booking your Genie+ LL before park opening but the return time is inside the 120-minute window:
EPCOT opens at 10am. At 7am you book Soarin' Genie+ LL for 10-11. You can book your next Genie+ LL after redemption of your Soarin' LL or at 11am when the LL expires.
It’s worth noting - nothing about the 120-minute rule applies to Individual Lightning Lane purchases. This is all specific to Genie+ Lightning Lane.
Yes - I know this is super confusing. But the main point is you can't "stack" Genie+ LL prior to opening. If you wake up at 7am and book something later in the day at EPCOT, that 120-minute waiting period will not start until the park is open. Choose your G+ LL wisely.
Also:
If you're staying at an eligible Disney Resort and you want to take advantage of the 7am early booking perk for purchasing Individual Lightning Lane attractions on Oct. 19, you should confirm NOW that everyone is listed on the hotel reservation in MDE.

Update: The Disability Access Service (DAS) pre-arrival registration is now live on the Disney website.
Live chat is listed as available 7am to 11pm ET. Must be done between 2 to 30 days before park visit. Also - you can still register in person at Guest Relations in the park.
Here are all of the rules/terms for the live chat pre-arrival process.
If you pre-register, you’re eligible to pre-select up to 2 experiences (subject to availability) as early as 30 days (but at least 2 days) prior to park visit. These are in addition to in-park return times you will receive during your visit (similar to current system).
NEW: Disneyland made a small change to the virtual queue process for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
Disneyland may now opt to pause virtual queue enrollment from time to time and open the standby queue for the remainder of an operating day.
Disneyland updated the wording on its website to reflect the policy change. The site now says "may require guests to join a virtual queue" vs. the old phrasing that said "join the virtual queue to experience it."
What does it mean? This basically means Disneyland can choose to open up the standby queue during the afternoon -- and guests can check the Disneyland app for the attraction status. If it says virtual queue, join. If it doesn't, you can join standby queue.

Honestly, I’m not quite sure what to make of this Star Wars experience - but it involves "augmented reality-enabled datapads to track and study the creatures on a series of special assignments."
Based on what we’ve heard about the Disney Wish so far, this ship is going all in on augmented reality.
That sound you hear is me sighing the loudest sigh ever sighed.
BREAKING: Disney officially reveals Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland this fall. Genie+ and Lightning Lane will replace FastPass+ and MaxPass.
Genie+ will be priced at $15 pp/day at WDW, $20 pp/day at Disneyland
A breakdown thread -
Disney is introducing Lightning Lane -- the replacement for the FastPass “line.” Genie+, for a flat fee $15 at WDW and $20 at DL, gets you LL access to *most* attractions (ex: Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain). Genie+ includes 15+ attractions at DL, 40+ at WDW.
High demand attractions, like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Radiator Springs Racers, will be available as “individual attraction selections”. These will be priced per person per ride (pricing tbd) and get you access to LL on those rides. Max two Lightning Lane purchases pp/per day.
