Attending @BreaMurakami's presentation: "Ethical Considerations for Leadership in Music Therapy." I deeply admire Brea's scholarship and am excited to see what she has to offer on this topic.
@BreaMurakami I really appreciate @BreaMurakami's openness in discussing her experiences of harm and unethical situations, including her own mistakes. More people should be open about this sort of thing in this way: admitting wrongdoing and taking actions to do better.
How do we do better moving forward?
Step into leadership positions -- elected positions often go unopposed or unfilled, universities need practicum supervisors or sites for students to observe sessions, etc.
