Oct 15, 2020 was the final leg of the bus tour, in Miami FL.
We were supposed to have a modest event in @cubaocho, followed by a Latin dance party.
But Miami police shut them down that morning for 24 hours, for "COVID violations" (the owner was by himself when he was cited).
The timing of their move was suspicious. We never found out for certain whether they shut the venue down for political reasons, or just to flex their muscles on a small business owner.
Whatever the reason, I had 2 choices:
1. Give up and have the event somewhere else.
2. Do it outside on the sidewalk, in violation of COVID orders.
To me, the choice was obvious.
The Miami city government's move backfired.
When we announced we were doing it anyway, additional news outlets came out.
Because we weren't restricted to who could fit in the building, I was able to speak with hundreds of people.
The event ended up going on for over 5 hours.
When enough of us engage in #MassNonCompliance, there's nothing they can do to stop us.
You are the Power.
This video details the events of that day.

I spoke to the crowd about the need to fight for freedom and against mandates, whether you are in favor of getting vaccinated or not. We actually had people join and pick up signs from @lpwa to help as we spoke.
Then we led a march through downtown Seattle, where we got lots of honks and cheers of support, including from municipal bus drivers and even postal workers.
We wrapped things up with a mixer at Chapel Lounge. Just a great night had by all.
When I saw how many events @HB4mayor had put together, I was concerned that we might be stretching things a bit thin.
My concerns turned out to be unfounded, because we were at max capacity for every event!
Nate and I traveled around Minneapolis meeting supporters and people who wanted to find out more about his campaign for Mayor, and our door-knocking went beautifully as well.
Volunteers knocked on hundreds of doors and spoke with residents across the city.
He has been in jail for 7 years, without trial, facing the death penalty, because he allegedly killed one of the home invaders who broke into his home and opened fire on him.
Why?
Because those home invaders were cops.
Killeen TX police surveilled Marvin's home for some time, based on an informant tip that he was selling drugs. Unable to prove anything, they decided to conduct a no-knock raid. The judge gave them a warrant in 5 minutes.
At 5:30 in the morning on May 9, 2014, police broke into Marvin's home.
Days earlier, a home invasion of a woman's home, which resulted in her being seriously injured, had shocked Marvin and his neighbors.
Earlier today, I spoke to the Russell City Council about their plan to use eminent domain to seize and demolish a privately-owned convalescent home to build a parking lot.
When we hear of deaths in the thousands, it's easy to look at them as numbers, even though we know that each of them had lives, family and loved ones they left behind.
Each one has a story.
I'd like to tell you the story of John W Perry.
John was born with a severe learning disability. He was 9 before he could tie his shoes or read. But he discovered a passion for learning, and helping others, that would last his entire life.
John learned French, Russian, Spanish & Swedish, and graduated from NYU School of Law.
As an attorney, John helped immigrants and asylum-seekers navigate through the ridiculous system so they could remain here.
An active member of @LPQueens and a board member of the @NYCLU, John fought for the rights and freedoms of others.
The War on Drugs has created and empowered drug cartels.
The War on Terror has created and empowered terror groups.
The War on Poverty has made poverty permanent for tens of millions of Americans.
Government would totally succeed in the War on Abortion though.
Abortion is a gruesome practice. There are good ways to greatly reduce the number of them.
Government is the absolute last group I want involved, especially since most abortions are done for economic reasons, and government is most to blame for creating those economic problems.
Think of how the War on Drugs, through the creation of black markets, has made the drug problem much worse, and has created gang violence and daily infringements on our rights in the process.
