Happening now: Jan 6 defendant Joshua Doolin is in court. He's arguing to be freed from having to wear a GPS ankle bracelet

Among his arguments, the ankle monitor interferes with his playing basketball and causes "annoying blisters"

Defense argues the ankle monitor also limits Doolin's ability to work as a bread delivery man... due to distances he needs to travel and prior malfunction of ankle bracelet

Defense is also arguing that the *lengthy*, laborious process of compiling evidence in Jan 6 cases by prosecutors could require a lengthy period on GPS monitoring for Doolin

Prosecutor defends need for GPS, saying Doolin "contemplated" bringing weapons on Jan 6.. calls that "quite concerning"

Doolin is accused of carrying zip-ties around the Capitol and "obtained a riot shield", per prosecutor

Doolin says his "physical labor" job is best performed in shorts... but that he's wearing jeans ... "I don't want to make the company.. or myself... look bad"

And he says it's uncomfortable to wear the ankle monitor with jeans

Doolin is going on-and-on about his family connections to law enforcement. He's talking... a lot.

Judge asks Doolin to "pause" ... Judge suggests Doolin, his lawyers, feds, pretrial officers meet and "work something out" to accommodate job
